FEAR

Far Cry

Half Life 1 (HL2 AI was a let down - The grunts from HL1 were the best)

also had to give a mention to the bots of the UT series

100% agree with Mule007

You have to go with baby steps....

I started with a Packard Bell (yes a Packard Bell)
Then started upgrading that...RAM...etc...
I even added a ThrustMaster ACM Game Card

Finally I started building my own machines and been ever since

F.E.A.R is an awesome game. Great sense of immersion.
I played the entire game at night in the dark with headphones.
Would say it is not scary but definitely creepy.
“That hair on the back of your neck creepy.”

IMHO the best RTS is usually the one that has subject matter/time period that interest you. Of course check out the review first to make sure that the controls are good, the depth is there, etc

Personally I like melee fighting and a touch of history so I go for the Total War Series specifically Rome: TW – God I love the phalanx – :)
