[QUOTE="Postal_Guy"]

Damage control everywhere

I love the fact that lems think NA = the world. srsly I have yet to see a store in The Netherlands that sold out on Kinect (there may be some but sure as hell aint alot)

AbleFa3

Amazon UK is sold out of Kinects, all versions and bundles

Amazon Germany out of Kinect too

Amazon France is top seller (top10) and will soon be out of stock too

Amazon US out of stock since launhc, all bundles too

Play.com is out of Kinect as well

In short, Kinect is sold out worldwide and MS cant come even close to meeting demand right now

this doesn't prove anything since the kinect launch was last week and its typical for a online company or store to be out of stock a few days after launch . it also shows that amazon has not restock...plus we are hearing of plenty of kinects in stock at stores. also you also have to take in to account that the move has been out of stock for weeks on amazon ..i dont know why.... but it is...so cows can play the same game as well

the move thread was the one I had in mind when I made my first reply to you where lemmings claimed shipped isn't sold and now they are saying shipped is sold. So there you have my reasoning for my backwards logic in SW reply :)

UnrealDelusion

the real question is how many are actually in consumer homes and not sitting in the stores..during Christmas season its easy to overstock so ms is going to get to 5 million....but out of that 5 million how many will be sold to customers

You know honestly I don't care how much the Kinect or Move sells since i won't see any money from it going to my wallet. I just hate all the hypocrisy and double standards when it comes to this kind of threads :)

actually im surprised that out of 13 pages theres isnt a huge shipped vs sold argument going on..which is unusual for sw...move had a big discussion for it...i mean every thread was a big argument....it was so irritating how some posters weren't using any form of logic..

Don't attack me i totally agree with you :)

I was just showing you the lemmings logic in SW :P

UnrealDelusion

sorry about that....i just hate the whole shipped vs sold argument and did the same in the move threads

You get it all backwards when Sony ships a million of something it's not sold to the consumer but when MS ships a million of something it means it a million sold to the consumers. SW logic at it's finest.

UnrealDelusion

what? what part did you not get? when ever a company ships to a retailer its sold...plain and simple..stop making this into a sony vs ms debate and use logic...shipped=sold

[QUOTE="sireclaborn"][QUOTE="tbolt76"] No, it is sold. If you read the article, there is a quote that says "...sold to Xbox 360 owners..." meaning to the end consu,er, wher Sony's annpouncement specifically stated shipped. That is 1 million sold or $149,000,000 (or more) in revenue.BodyElite
lets not start this again.......ms sold a million to retailers theres no way of telling if a million are in the hands of consumers..

Sold is sold. Retailers gave MS money, MS racked in on the dough. SOLD!

ok thats exactly what i was saying...... whats the problem?..

ive read all 10 pages and im not sure if a million is a lot now...i think its a good start but as one poster mentioned....500 million plus Oprah, Ellen, burger king etc... is it really a lot? i dont really see how ms could sell a million kinect and im wondering how much is actually in consumer homes..and not in stores. or if ms is inflating the market

well if you think about it ms is too busy trying to cut the ps3 and the wii throat.. 500 million on kinect? im not sure how much sony spent on move marketing but if it was near that amount we would of heard about it.... also sony doent need to do that...they have good commercials and good word of mouth so move is selling....sony spends their money on games...ms...marketing kinect....maybe its time to jump ship...i mean they did pay 50 million for dlc
