@infected84784: Then name a game that isnt casual? The Witcher 3 and Fallout 4 has hundreds of things to do outside of combat. Games like Bloodborne would be what YOU call casual then because thats all combat and very minimal styles of combat to boot. I loved Bloodborne but in no way does it have nearly the amount of content of The Witcher 3 or Fallout 4. Same with Halo 5, great game but the content is nothing against the top 2. Rise of the Tomb Raider and Dying Light should have been 3 and 4. Rocket league??? Yes the game is fun but who the hell nominated it to be GOTY? Seriously?
@Megamandrew: Personally I didnt care for Batman. i didn't like the Tank at all! I agree it should have been at least in the top 25 but dont compare it to Halo 5. Everyone seems to think that just because the campaign wasnt "as good" as previous Halo's that it sucked for some reason. I thought the campaign was awesome and multiplayer is still top notch. Evolve sucked and AC Syndicate was ok, and I traded Batman in 3 days after I got it. That of course is my opinion.
I guess everyone has their opinions. I would put Witcher 3 and Fallout 4 as a tie. Those two are just fantastic games that I just cant put down. If I had to make a list it'd be Fallout 4, Witcher 3, Dying Light, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Bloodborne, Halo 5 and Ori and the Blind Forest. I know thats only 7 but those were my favorite 7 games of the year and ALL of them I am still playing!
Thats is how I think this current gen should be defined. Sure games have issues with resolutions and frames but that doesn't make the game. This gen has been loaded with HUGE open world games with tons of dlc to extend those games. Honestly if I don't buy another game until April Im fine, even though Im definitely getting the Dying Light dlc...
This game looks amazing on Xbox One, i couldnt even imagine how awesome it would look in 4k. What card, processor and RAM would you need to run this in 4k??
@rasdorx: Not too mention Games with Gold has been pretty damn good lately too. That Van Heilsing game is just like diablo, and Sacred 3. Most of the xbox 360 games that have come out digitally that we can now put on xbox one have been games Ive never played... Score for Xbox if you ask me..
@maximimon: PS has always sold well in Japan yet there are tons of games that never made it west. He is right, you'll only see a quarter of that list here in the west and honestly not many of them look that great. I own a ps4 and I am hoping for it to have great games but so far my Xbox One has had a lot more game time.. A LOT
