@jumalan75: I think MS is playing games with Sony.. Seems like Sony either copies or changes policies or hardware whenever they find out what MS is doing or what went wrong with something MS did or said. So MS is probably going to boost those specs come its full blown reveal.. The GTX 1070 is still considered a future gpu and that has 6.5TFlops. It is the successor to the awesome GTX 970. The GTX 970 is still widely known as a current gen card along with the 980 so come next year the Scorpio will barely be outdated if at all since its specs put it right next to the GTX 1070. Also the GTX1070 does 4k with ease
@runstalker: Me too. Honestly we need gaming to go back to the ps2/xbox gen when games came out by the dozens every month and they were good. We need all 3 companies to sell well to keep our gaming industry lucrative so heres to hoping Scorpio, Neo and NX sell well.
@runstalker: I think in the long run they will take over. Just like people moving to pc's. They are doing this because of power. I see the scorpio becoming the go to console next year. Yes I believe people will buy the Neo( I am) but I believe A LOT of the 360 owners that jumped to ps4 this time around will go back to Scorpio. I cant even begin to think about what Halo will look and play like on that console. Hopefully there will be exclusives to the Neo and Scopio shortly after they release. I certainly think indie devs will build games exclusively for them immediately.. At least for the Scorpio.
@the-games-masta: Wow thank god you said it. He apparently doesnt realize the 3rd party games are better on ps4 because of the POWER....... LOL I love my ps4 and my xb1 and my pc but Sony (only) fans should really just stifle..
@runstalker: Excatly about the Scoprio. Its prototype. So if Neo comes out with a debow spec sheet, MS will still flaten it., MS said they are building the most powerful console. Notice how Sony became quiet on the Neo ever since MS announced Scorpio? Not for nothing but your sitting here telling us about how Neo can possibly over clock yet not once have you said the Scorpio could probably over clock and the Scorpio could damn well be using 16nm FinFET as its specs are damn near GTX 1070 range.
@runstalker: LOL what the hell are you talking about? How did you get 4.5Tflops out of the Neo when the whole world has heard 4.0-4.2? Also Yes the Scoprio at 6.2 TFlops WILL hit games at 4k. My gtx 980 which is just around 3.7 TFlops can do 4k but only at 25-30fps(Thats the Witcher 3)
Scorpio is going to have a memory speed of 320gbs. Thats is beyond lightning speed. The current consoles top out at what 180?
So it sounds like your kissing Neo's ass a little too much and your making up numbers that no one has heard of. I love how you try and say Scorpio wont do 4k. I'm going to laugh at you when it does. Scorpio > Neo hands down in power mo friend...
@the-games-masta: I agree. I think both Sony and MS will only support PS4 and Xb1 (OG's) for a short time after the Neo and Scorpio arrive. If people think you wont see a difference in 1080p with the new consoles they are sorely mistaken. Perfect example, I have a pc with a GTX 980 in it but I just bought this pc 7 months ago. When The Witcher 3 came out I originally got it on PS4, I didnt like the frame rate so I got it on Xb1. After getting the pc I decided to get the entire game with all the expansions on sale via Steam and the pc version at 1080p lights the consoles on fire in terms of all round graphics and frames. I play the witcher 3 in 2560/1440 at 60fps but even at 1080p there is a huge difference in lighting and any effect you can think of. So I just think when the new consoles come out they will quickly die off the OG consoles.
@alexatkin: Well thats your problem not MS. You having the majority of your games on either PS4, PC or WiiU doesnt have anything to do with MS. It cant be PS4 exclusives because I have a PS4 and the only game I've been playing on it has been that Pirate Treasure Hunter MOBA. (which seems pretty cool) Outside of that all my other games are on Xb1 and PC..
