@gufberg @skunknuts Is this score somehow "incorrect" because it doesn't compare properly to the score of another, completely unrelated game?

@th3assh0l3 @skunknuts Your assumption that " a lot of people read the article " is not reflected in the comments section, I mostly see griping over numbers. As per usual.

@b74kd3th I know, right? Please just sum up a large experience, spanning hours of play, as a number! Then I will know if it's right for me or not. ;)

@th3assh0l3 @skunknuts My point was that almost nobody focuses on the content of the review, only the number score and how it compares to other number scores. Make sense?

GS needs to drop the number scores, it's all anyone can seem to focus on anymore.

@red_city There's a reason Inafune didn't do as you suggest - he retains total creative control of the project, which is a good thing. Also, you do get something for funding his game: the game itself, plus more if you gave more. Works for him, works for the fans. What's not to like?

Unless Square Enix is doing this for free, and not meddling with the development (not sure about those "terms and conditions"), this just seems like a way for a AAA company to get their paws on a piece of the crowdfunding market.

"feels like this was a marketing decision made by a room full of people who wanted to capitalize on a title."

Isn't that how most games and movies start these days? :(

Phones and tablets have not come close to rivaling a dedicated handheld gaming experience yet. Maybe down the road, but for now it's not even a question.
