If your using wireless the signal is probrably too low, and whenever the voltage on your pci/usb/whatever variates, the signal gets dropped. chances are if you get closer to the router it will get better, or you could get a range extender...

although rare, the Nvidia Geforce 210 is an actual desktop IGP. The Chip benchs near between the 8400GS and the 8600GT. With that card however, I would not even try to run it, i would try to find a GTS250 or a 4830 at least to try to run that game. As for the CPU, A Q6600 is pretty high for a cpu requirement, and you could probably get away with your chip fine....

EDIT: if nothing else, you can pick up a new C2Q for cheap on newegg

I ran it once for fun on my server and it took 8 1/2 hours to get through 4 Tb of 10k drives... so, by that i would guess 2-3 hours on a 1TB 7.2k drive

Well after building desktops for people for the past 6 years, It finally came the time that I finally started building my own laptop. anyways, I just ordered a Compal KHLB2 from avadirect. I ordered with it from newegg a Seagate 320Gb 7200RPM drive, and 2Gb OCZ DDR3 1066. I will be using Suse 11 and Windows 7 Pro on it which I preordered back in July when it was on sale. Anyways, I am left with about a $110USD for a processor (for both product and shipping...). Anyways there are a few benchmarks out there for notebook CPUs although i havent been able to pin-point one for the most bang for your buck. So basically my question is, What would be the best CPU out there that I could put in for the price range? I do game, and the GPU in the Laptop is a 4650, but the extent of the gaming would be left to COD4/HL2/BF series etc. I will have to use this laptop to a certain extent with VPC for a college credit.

EDIT: would not let me use the word c lass
