@gunnmetal: all right dude here is a clue.....you dont need to upgrade amps.....if you hook everything 4k up to the TV you can use the fiber or coax digital out put of the TV to get true digital in to the amp......on top of that atmos is kinda over rated and will be down converted in to normal dobly digital or DD EX on older amps plus this set up will even pass on DTS signals including any version of 7.1 in both formats.....this makes everything to do with the TV IDIOT proof.....if you see a picture on screen you only need to make sure the amp is on and on the right input(the only down side is you can only change the volume on the amp)......most 4k TV's have at least 3 or 4 HDMI inputs.....you should not have more then 3 total sources of true 4k(real world you may only have one)....that leaves all the other inputs on the amp open to none 4k stuff then you can use a extra HDMI port on the TV to feed in the source from the amp's HDMIs.....you can save by not upgrading the amp this way......if your going for the clean look it would be cheaper to buy a wire wall cover and hide everything going to the TV in it then to buy a new amp so you only run one HDMI to the TV.....
just my 2 cents.....but it could save you 100's on not upgrading a working amp that suit your needs as it is.....
@marty1362: a 5 year console life is gone for EVER......NEVER will we see it again.....to be blunt i have this sad feeling in the bottom of my gut 600 to 700 dollar consoles will start coming out every year like cell phones.....
@starjay009: yeah i said the same thing and got a bunch of BS pod casts from from inner circle jerk taking about the new system being to do true 60 frames at 4k......6tf wont do that as computers running a current i7 with a 1080 stack up to be i think 9tf and wont run most games at a true 60 frames with most settings even running just high and not even ultra......optimizing will do something but i dont see it getting to a true 60 frames at 4k with only 6tf of GPU bandwidth
@borgking1234: translation....every one is doing this......on Uplay i see ads for origins....get on origins i see ads for Uplay.....steam at one point sold games for both of them and you would buy the game on steam only to have to install uplay or origins to truly play the game......but im with you.....i deleted every icon to open the store after installing windows 10 and did not even look at the games list.....not going to restore those icons at any point.......
@Thanatos2k: nintendo seems to be hitting portables hard.....and with their sales numbers of hand helds i can see why.......i just hope the next console is good.....you would not be crying if the games were bad.....
@gamefreak215jd: yes and no......i get we are heading in to console port hell BUT it would be nice to see people really be able to make a true choice and still play the games we want.......how much bigger would PC be if people could play madden or baseball games on PC??? how many more people would be playing counter strike or dota 2 if the console players could get true PC games??? on the other side of things how nice would it be for a console gamer to be able to put in a 6 year old game like battlefront bad company 2 and be able to play it right now on active servers???? next is the fact a ton of PC gamers could stop buying consoles without missing out on games or the online part of the fun(i have a one and a PS4 and will NEVER put them online other then to download stuff and update the console)......
i see good and bad in both sides of it.....we could get way longer support for beloved games as the PC community keeps things around a lot longer then console.....i would bet money people playing on consoles would give 5 or 10 bucks a year like PC gamers do to people running servers just to keep a playable.....i also think a ton of PC games would like to see more people playing the same games or even having the chance to......
@bfeinberg: after using mac for years i just cant look at them any more and say its not stolen from other people that truly did it first.....the tablet in 2002 had the same specs as apples in 2010 but the older tablet did more things and ran the first touched based OS in history with XP......even itunes is a lie when they bought out (more like forced out ) the people that came up with the idea.....itunes before it was taken over was going to give 85% to the artists.....apple takes i think 50% of every sale on it now......i cant believe they won a court case on rounded edges when wood workers came up with that in the 15th century......dont forget any modern table from the 50's or 60's on top of it.......every time i look at a apple product i see stolen ideas.......
