in the hd world this is starting to concern me, i had this tv for 4 months now and it's picture perfect (the Digimate 32) google it if you will. anyways this thing has 2 components, and 3 av', and everything pretty much but no hdmi or dvi. and I spent a few weeks looking for a dvd player that upconverts through component, even though its possible they made up some claim that ppl can pirate dvds in Hi-def like this which is stupid really cuz there are ways to rip it in high def on a pc. Now back to topic AM I SCREWED because I have no hdmi or DVI? this is a good cheap tv too bad its outdated by 2 years and futureshop still sells them.

1000:1 is terrible and 8ms reponse time will lead to ghostingcreekfan_basiclol are you making stuff up? the lcd right now can only do 1600:1 conrast, and i though 12 ms or less is just good.
[QUOTE="StumpyTrash"]Sounds like you have a pretty decent PC and laptop to me! If you throw $500 at the PC to upgrade it, you'll have a great setup, but you'll just need to do it again in another 2-2.5 years to play "modern games".
If you keep the HDTV (I'm assuming it's 720p at that price) it will still work great with any other console you decide to pick up in the future and you probably won't be disappointed with it so soon (until you get a glimpse of 1080p :) ).

It's only 27 inches...1080p is overkill at that size. Most people agree that 1080p is good for over 50 (or for monitors).
Alright guys. I guess I'll just hang with my current stuff, thanks for talking me down to earth (I'm not made of money, but sometimes I forget to care)
no mather the size 1080p gaming looks alot more better than 720p or 1080iThere's nothing wrong with it. Discs spinning at 16x(thousands of RPMs) make a lot of noise

Tell the truth, I haven't noticed a difference.
Given a background in chemistry, I'd say copper would be better if they made connections with that. Copper is the best for conducting electricity

too bad it corrodes thats why they don't
no harddrive means games cant require a harddrive. Sony is going with the "you get what you pay for" theme. I paid now I waiting to see what I get. Looks good so far. Home better be amazing then sales will skyrocket.theshadow1212it could come witha cheap sd card
one that has no hdmi, or harddrive(but you can add them later) since component can already do 1080p this could shave it down to a $499 MSRP
[QUOTE="aka_aj03"]Sony has announced that it made a third quarter operating LOSS of $443 MILLION. Does that number scared you?
Ngon
no lol
LoL such men of little faith, sony last year(2006) had a revenue of 63 BILLION so they can mess around all they want
