Wow i actually got another email and im downloading it right now woo! I did it earlier but i was almost convinced i wouldnt be able to get it for free, they must of slipped up :P. Now i can really test out my gpu xD

Honestly, on many of the maps the vehicles are kind of death traps. They're at their best out in the open with cover to duck behind, but as soon as you start packing them in with close buildings and the like it's pretty simple for engineers to sneak up on them and do massive damage. i.e. on the desert Rush map - in the beginning the American vehicles are fine, being in a large field. On the second half of the map with the rows of buildings and the long road down the middle, it's generally an unholy slaughter if there are a couple engineers running around. And that failing, getting a tracer on a light tank should mean 2-3 RPGs arcing straight up into the air with that tank's name on it a few seconds later, even if the tank tries to back behind cover. ^ agreed if your in a tank usually its not long before an rpg or helicopter takes you out, kinda spoils the fun but oh well. I dont know about you guys, but im getting pretty bad connection issues on bad company 2, getting disconnected from games quite regularly and for some reason servers in my favourites are blanked out??
Sniper rifles are more powerful, so they have a less dramatic bullet drop. Assault rifles are weaker, hence the bullet drop is more significant.

Yeah at that res you should be getting high frame rates with maxed settings. Maybe scan your pc for malware/viruses as well because that could be the problem
Im not exactly sure, but i actually think the assault rifles may be more accurate over long ranges because i got a few long range kills with the f2000 and didnt need to aim above the enemy like you do with the sniper. The bullet drop is really good though imo, makes sniping a lot more realistic.
