[QUOTE="sn4k3_64"][QUOTE="swehunt"] Yes, but how did you measure the temp. 50 in prime may be great but 50 running a old game may be horrible. Yes, the AMD stock coolers will get very noisy if you push them hard.

I can recommend the 212+, it's a great cooler that perform just a bit behind the most expensive ones but it's very cheap.

Edit: what motherboard do you use, the 212+ is a tower cooler so it fit most motherboards but it really depends on how close to the heatsink/ram modules you got.

Thank you, I was playing WIC which obviously pushes my CPU a lot, but on other games its usually reaching 48-50, and my room is getting hot as well. My motherboard is a gigabyte M61PME-S2P (socket M2) so will fit the 212+. Like I said its matx and not very roomy.

No prob! :)

Yes, the 212+ comes with AM2/AM3 mounting, but the problem as seen on this image is how close it's socket is to your Ram modules.

I'm !almost! positive you can get the cooler installed if you are facing the fan towards the rear. (I/O shields, the back of the case)

The 212+ is a large cooler, what case do you got?

Thanks man :), I have this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811103018

Hi guys, is a load temp of 50 ok for my processor? Also would it be worth investing in a cpu cooler for overclocking, and if so do you think on a matx mobo i would be alright fitting it? Thanks, Sean

May I ask what is so good about it? It said improvements were made for both the 400 and 500 series, but i can't see what it has improved for my card, the 460?

half life 2 deathmatch actually isn't bad, but compared to a game like CSS for example, it has nothing on it in my opinon. Still owning people with the gravity gun doesn't get boring :)

[QUOTE="sn4k3_64"]

To be honest it looks like both will be equally important, its annoying though because having quite recently purchased my gpu i was hoping i could max out most games, but when this is released I doubt i will max this one out smoothly xD

whitey_rolls

I'm not that upset with my GPU purchase, I got a great deal on it ... I'm upset with my PSU purchase. I had the TX 750 in my hands which would allow me to crossfire my setup and the clerk at the store talked me out of it to save $20.00 ... what a mistake

I'm not either tbh, in fact I won't be buying another gpu for a very long time, because currently my card runs everything I throw at it at 1080p which is awesome. That sucks though not getting psu but oh well you can still get a single card powerful enough

[QUOTE="Birdy09"]We should just learn from history, they will claim this is maxable on current hardware gcards. then beta roles out and we cant, hiding behind the "its only beta" excuse then retail hits and we still cant. You will likely need 4GB RAM standard, AMD Hex Core (because its better than wasting money on an i7.) overclocked to 3.4 to 4.0 ghz and whatever X870+ of the next generation of ATI and Nvidia cards to play this at 1920 x 1080 Max Settings DX11 2x AA above 30 fps. Im calling it now, it happens every time.

And although nothing beats pc gaming, this is what really sucks about it (in terms of being able to play the latest games maxed), because not everybody is rich and can afford to pay out such large sums of money to keep their pc high end :/
