Any good games where you can just cruise around/race in cars? Please dont say TDU as the cars handle like crap in that game :P

As the drivers are fairly new (correct me if im wrong), will we be seeing lots of games increase in performance when nvidia release newer drivers?
[QUOTE="bonafidetk"][QUOTE="Elann2008"]Killing Floor is on sale and the bundle deal as well. If I like Left 4 Dead series, will I like KF?Elann2008KF is kinda like the campaign in L4D. A little bit anyway, if you like that portion of L4D you will probably like KF Thank you. I'm still watching more vids on youtube. So far, it looks like fun. I might buy it. You'll love it, its like left 4 dead but a bit more hardcore i think, also some of the custom maps are really fun as well. Worth buying but only to play online

You should be able to upgrade those gtx 460's dude, but to be on the safe side why not get the gigabyte versions or msi version with twin fans, that way oc'ing is even saferThis is the build I am getting for Christmas. I will post pictures on December 25 or 26 :)
- Cooler Master HAF 922 (blue lights)
- Asus M4N98TD EVO AM3 mobo
- AMD Phenom II x4 965 BE @ 3.4GHz
- 2x Palit GeForce GTX 460s 1GB
- G.SKILL Ripjaws 4GB (2x2GB)
- WD Caviar Black 1TB 7200 rpm
- Asus MS226H 21.5" 1920x1080 monitor
- Windows 7 Home 64 bit
I decided not to get any after market cooling or anything as I don't plan on overclocking just yet. It's at the top of my list of upgrades, though, along with a Blu Ray drive.

I dont even notice it with fps games to be honestDon't you get like massive image tearing from 300FPS?
Just turn on Vsync and it will determinate perfect frame rate.

Lol are u joking? On an oc'd gtx 460 you think its very demanding? I can run games like dirt 2 maxed with 4xaa and not have the lag i get on tf2 and left 4 dead 2. So i beg to differ[QUOTE="sn4k3_64"][QUOTE="JW-toch"]
Well, playing your games on 1080p and 8x AA is very demanding for a GTX 460, your graphics card is probably the problem.

Again, TF2 and Left 4 Dead 2 run a very newer shader model that is kind of complex. Running 8xAA actually renders each frame fully 8 times before it displays, each frame usually requires 3-4 passes of other effects before it is done, so that's nearly 32 passes for each single frame you see.
The GTX 460 isn't the most powerful card ever. My GTX 470 and i7 + 6 gigs of ram will see dips into the 45s-50s in TF2 running at the same resolution as you.
Just turn the AA down to 4x or 2x AA and you'll be fine. Also make sure that v-sync is off. TF2 and Left 4 Dead turn that on by default.
Also don't be rude to those who are trying to help you, or we won't help you anymore.
I see, i guess i am expecting a lot, but seeing as it cost over £150 i should be. Dont know too much about the shader models, but i could turn down AA, although i am happy with it (avg of 60fps roughly). Sorry if i came across as rude, i was just trying to get my point across. Also, how will my card handle bad company 2 on multiplayer please?Half life series are decent, in fact one of the best single player fps games ever made.I can't find any.
I was hoping there would be a low profile gem out there like with Cryostasis a while back, but everywhere it is either cross platform or not the sort of shooter I'm looking for. I'm thinking like the Quake 4/Doom 3 days, just a single player PC orientated FPS.
I'm honestly getting sick of console orientation and just want to play a old fashioned PC FPS. But either they are getting buried under the cross platform games, or there isn't any on the horizon.
