When it starts up it really lags my computer and freezes it for a little bit. Didnt used to do this, and my computer isnt normally slow. Still it works fine when its loaded..
Ok, im really really confused...Basically I have a new-ish nvidia 9600 gt graphics card, and yet I run cs 1.6 with fps all over the place.. It usually drops when there are a few players around near me in the map, but its unacceptable, should be running easily at 100 fps constant. I cant figure it out, i have it at 800x600, disabled v-sync, lowered nvidia settings to performance level, disabled other settings i dont need, yet its still dropping? I have custom weapon skins, but they look fairly low-poly so I cant see them changing it much at all. Help please
Hi, i've got back into cs 1.6, and I really want to change a few of the default weapon skins cos im bored of em. First I want an m4a1 skin, i've been looking everywhere for one with an acog scope preferably, and I have found one, which I used before but it always lagged the game. You guys got one please?
Everyone that says they play for hours and find its boring well thats your problem. You play every hour of every day and ofcourse eventually you are going to become sick if it. It happens with any game you would play. I used to play fifa 10 for hours got sick of it and then played MW2 and i plaeyd if for hours. I got sick of it and got back to playing fifa 10. So the game is not boring or crap its just that you guys play and get sick of it. There is more to life then just playing PS3 and im not saying that PS3 is bad cause i love it to bits but you need variety in life. So change the game often and you will find you will enjoy it more and play so much better!!! MW2 is best shooter out.The_EffecT101
Trust me, its not the best shooter out.. I admit i play it quite a bit, but i think you'll find more decent shooters on a pc
I actually have quite a lot of success using the P90 on certain maps: Highrise, Scrapyard, Terminal. So I disagree about the assault-rifle-only complaint. And for those of you complaining about the chopters... put away your Stopping Power and go with Cold Blooded... choppers don't bother me no more.

Yeah, there are a lot of time where a good SMG in the right player can do a lot of damage. I use the UMP like crazy and do well half the time. But in places like Favela, where more times than not you are shooting at someone in a window or you yourself are in a window trying to outwin someone with, say, a SCAR? When you are using an MP5K? For whatever reason, I just die...a lot.
Yeah I agree, the UMP is a decent gun, i really never use the mp5 for some reason, and i find the UMP with rapid fire is quite lethal at closer ranges. The one thing that really pi**es me off is when people run around dual wielding shotties and smg's, its very annoying and the model 1887's are stupidly overpowered even at longer ranges.
Roads full of traffic, with a car doing 180+mph is hard actually. Plus, the races arent actually that easy, if you screw up on hardest difficult it can be very difficult catching up. You need quick reflexes on this game
