Yeah I understand where you are coming from but my problem isnt the graphics card because its powerful enough to run crysis on medium with smooth fps. The problem is something to do with system resources like not having enough ram to run graphic intensive games. It could even be my psu, but i doubt that.

Yeah ok I will take your advice on the bots :)

I think my current ram is ddr2 but im not sure...i will upgrade to another gig. When i buy ram should I go for the cheap ones like 2 gig for £15 or should I spend a bit more on the ballistix products?

I only want 2 gig of ram-but should I get rid of the existing 1 gig of ram in my computer and just stick in the new products so i might get better peformance?

Thanks guys for the help :)

Possibly Guild wars where by I got in to a top 35 guild in the world and we GvG'd some team-was an awesome match. Although there have been other scenario's like when I played gta 4 couple of weeks back and that was just exploring the graphics were phenominal.

Also cs 1.6 moments have been good.

Hi guys, i eventually got the ati radeon x1650 pro pci/e @ 512mb but it wasnt as good as what i expected. I mean it runs Guild wars like a dream but other games can be chuggy with low fps and generally the games I bought it for just arent that playable as the frames are so low.

My system spec is as following: 1 gig of ram, 135 gig hard drive, intel pentium 4 ht @ 3 ghz and 350 watt psu.

The first annoying problem i encountered has happened before but with another computer. it was on counter strike source and basically when i setup a game agaisnt bots for example it looks as though it is jumpy and the models are twitching, as though there is something in the background conflicting with the game.

I have my settings on low pretty much apart from a few on medium. I have no hdr, no anti-aliasing, no colour correction etc mainly on low settings and i get an fps of 25 but the game is quite unplayable as there are other problems to.

The weird thing is that the video test in the game (cs players will know what i mean:P) shows results with 90 fps and above which is really good....so why does the game run in an unplayable state?

Please help

Hi all, today I attempted to upgrade my ati radeon x1650 pro fan by installing an arctic accelero s2 heatsink that i thought would cool my card more from its stock cooler...it didnt work -_-. I then decided to fit the stock cooler back on and leave it as it is but know the temperatures on my graphics card are quite a lot higher.

The idle temperature is about 55 degrees and when playing a game like guild wars it rises to 74 degrees :/ whats causing this? When the stock cooler was on before when i left it without installing the arctic cooler the idle temp was 42 degrees and when gaming the max was 62 degrees.

Please help

Well firstly its nice to know someone has been reading all my posts :P and secondly I said I was "Thinking" not necesarily buying and even if i said I was my mind has changed. The cpu cooler I might buy aswell and if you think about it, it kind of relates to cooling...right?

Anyways back to the topic i'll try out the graphics card and see what happens, but looks like it'l be ok.

Hi all just to be on the safe side I thought I would ask you guys a question, well I have just bought an ati radeon x1650 pro and my computer is a dell 8400 with all stock cooling and stock dell case. I was wondering if it was advised to buy a cpu cooler just in case my computer might over heat a bit. As I want to save money do you think it is worth buying a computer? My room is cool most of the time anyways as I live in england :P

Cheers :)
