I dont think that it has much to do with more action going on because say if I am on GW and fighting people it can still stay at 60 FPS
Even when there is nobody around the FPS still drops very low and causes the computer to slow down and kind of freeze for a second.
Hi I have a fairly new computer with 2 gigs of ram a 7500 LE turbocache nvidia graphics card.
When I play games like guild wars, half life 2 deathmatch and counter strike source my FPS is very jumpy. For example on GW everything will run smooth for a short period at about 60 fps then suddenly drop to 30 and sometimes below. I cant understand the problem and would be very grateful if someone could come up with a solution. Thank you :)
First off your blaming this on HP because it has two letters-_- Secondly its not about the name its about the hardware and the quality of the computer. Thirdly I looked at the nvidia compatible video cards and my video card (nvidia 7500 LE) was on the list...so whats wrong with that? This computer should be perfectly suited to gaming and the only slight let down is the graphics card which isnt that bad. I am just baffled at why I cant download a driver that is compatible with my graphics card?
Well overall I think my computer gonna have to have 45-50 processes running because what happens is that when I disable something on startup sing msconfig the next time I turn on the computer it ignores it and puts what I disable back on the processes list -_-. Even when I end a process when the computer is running it will do the same. Thank you to everyone one who's helped :)
