Any system manufactured after July 2007 is suppose to be less likely to get the Red Ring of Death, however no piece of technology is perfect, and there will always be a risk of getting the flaw. The best ways to avoid the RRoD, is simply keep it in a space where it can vent properly and it doesn't become too dusty. The true Red Ring of Death though is when three of the lights turn red, if it's all four it means the plug connecting the system to it's power source is loose.

I wouldn't trust stuff you read on forums or blogs, they're massively blown out of preportions and you can't tell if the person claiming this or that even owned a 360 to begin with. I think the reason the RRoD rate is so high is that many probably think that the entire ring of light has to be red, this actually means the power supply isn't plugged in properly, the correct term would be Red Semi-Circle of Death, since it's 3 red lights that indicate hardware failure.

Hasn't abandoned the Core Gamer? It deffinatlly feels like they have. I'll confess I'm a big fan of Nintendo, but Animal Crossing and Disaster arn't on par with God of War III and Gears of War II.

Okay, that chart doesn't really support anything about the PS3 beating the 360 for two reasons

1. the US's economic slump, affects the PS3 as well as well as the 360.

2. Consoles generally have five year shelf lives, and the 360's been out for 3 years so the 360's natural decline is starting to take hold, by now everyone who wants one has one. The PS3 has only been out for 2 years and it's just now hitting it's peak.

It depends on who gets their 8th Generation System out first. All three have had profitable years, so neither system is going anywhere anytime soon.

I've lost a lot of faith in Nintendo, while I'm still wanting to get a Wii simply because of an upcoming Star Wars game. The PS3 and Xbox 360 are eons ahead of Nintendo lately the novelty of motion sensing controllers is starting to wear off. If the Wii had games on par with Gears of War, God of War, Halo, Call of Duty, Resistance, Ghost Recon, Prey, Rainbow Six, Metal Gear Solid, and Ninja Gaiden, the Wii would be far more appealing. I mean Metal Gear and Ninja Gaiden are two of the biggest titles on Playstation and Xbox, but they got their start on the NES, and Solid Snake even appears in Super Smash Bros. but there's no Metal Gear game on the Wii.

Halo 3 isn't a failure, it's one of the best selling games of all time.

Does anyone remember the old Sonic Cartoons from the 1990s?
