I think you might remember incorrectly, or perhaps it was a fakeboy. I'm pretty sure the 1up previews focused on the same problems that brought the score down in IGN's review.

they are excited for it because its 1 of 3 games that are even worth buying on the ps3

There are some great PS3 games already out. Just because they aren't AAA on GS doesn't mean they aren't great or worth buying.

I'll probably wait a bit after it's release before I decide whether or not I want to buy it. The youtube-esque user generated system sounds really cool, but if it has network problems like Warhawk did or if the size/complexity limitations for the levels are irritating it'll appeal to me a lot less.

Local multiplayer should be great either way, though.
