[QUOTE="TurninTricks"]

[QUOTE="Slurms_M"]how did you like the aimingZeliard9

the aiming is fine, not every game needs auto aim you know? This dude is supposed to be an inexperienced gun wielder anyway. He's just an adventurer ready for action, he has no training. Have you ever held a gun before? It's harder than it looks, you won't always hit what you were aiming for.

So, basically, the aiming sucks? :P

It takes a bit to get used to, but on my second time through the demo I was getting headshots easily. The aiming is fine, and the rest of the controls are great.

His movements are organic; every jump animation is different. Sometimes he stumbles, and he isn't perfect.

That's true. The animations are definitely my favorite part of this game, at least from playing through the demo.

So how does the "everyman" aspect work out and does your character bleed or start moving slowly when he's near death? Is there an energy bar? JiveT

The health system is just like Gears of War or Halo 2... Or pretty much every other shooter now-a-days. The colors become de-saturated when you get hurt, so you know you need to find cover and let your health recharge. The "everyman" stuff seemed like it was mostly his reaction to being shot at. He covered his head and started swearing, and muttered things like "Here we go.." when he's about to jump out and face some enemies. I didn't notice any movement changes when he was hurt, but it might've been there.

The AI isn't bad, and the shooting is solid. The animations are still the standout thing from this game, imo. Naughty Dog certainly delivered with this one; I'm guessing it'll get an 8.0-8.5 from stricter reviewers like GS and 9's elsewhere.

i would never want this feature unless it's for a racing game or something similar.

music is just as important to a game as visual design, it sets the mood and adds an extra layer of atmosphere.

That's true, but I would still love to have the option for those racing games and for other games like Skate. I really hope this feature arrives soon.

I think it'll get an 8.0 here, but after seeing Ratchet's score as compared to the rest of the critics, who knows...

It wouldn't really be that surprising if she was a fully playable addition.

Yes, software has certainly picked up for it. I personally can't wait for Silent Hill.

It's a good looking game, but it could probably be closely replicated on the 360.

Metal Gear Solid and ICO come to mind.
