I always expected the Wii U to outperform the 3DS, but the reverse has come true. I don't really want either, but the Wii U has more potential that I can see.
Once the other consoles are released, it will find its place in the market. Though it might never succeed to anywhere near where N thought it might...
If the boss has this attitude, then why did they fire the "deal with it" guy? He seems to have been completely consistent with the official, arrogant position.
@Gothic-360 I don't get crossplay either. Nintendo aren't the money-grabbing re-hashers that everyone portrays them as. Otherwise, they could secure more sales easily with crossplay.
It takes the American Hollywood philosophy of deal-making to annualize games. If you were a developer, would you put all of your best ideas in a single game if you knew you had to immediately start on next year's release?
The Japanese approach is different it seems to me. We COULD be up to Pikmin 6 or 7, Metroid 8 or 9, Zelda DLCs etc etc., but they don't take that approach.
