Now even I, that didn't really like RDD know that it is the mechanics of the game that matter, not whether it has zombies or not. There are plenty of zombie games not worth playing.

What he should have said is that zombies can extend the life of an already quality game design.

Now this is interesting. It is also consistent with N's refusal to install the newest tech. in their consoles, as they rely on software quality (not hardware quality) to entice players.

It is also true that used copies of core Nintendo games hold their value (try finding an affordable GCN Fire Emblem, for example). I must admit though that I haven't investigated if Xbox original or PS2 games hold similar value.

I like Zelda, but they said this about Skyward Sword. It was a brilliant game, but all it really did was remove the wandering around in Hyrule.
