so what was Drive Club all about? I never bought it because I heard all this talk about the online component but is there a single player mode ? traditional mp racing? do we have to be in a racing MMO style world?
I never played the original but the mp beta was the best I've played all year. I'm just sad that the campaign is 5 hours or so. That is way too short for a full priced game. This could have been a day one purchase but I guess I'll wait for a price drop.
Skyrim is one of my fave games ever and I played this for HOURS but why would I ever spend full price for a game with slightlyyyyy better graphics and no new content? Nope.
@Iconoclysm: What? it's games graphically lagged behind the PS3. Maybe it had something under the hood that on paper made it somewhat better than PS2, just like on paper N64>PS1 but the graphical difference was hardly noticeable. I remember playing those Wii games and they looked just like PS2 games.
@dashboardman: Zelda releasing day one would be awesome but Nintendo has been piss poor at providing support with genuine AAA titles for it's last 2 consoles, so they really need to up their game here. This might need to have genuine launch titles, with a proper Mario finally being released.
@dashboardman: The Wii essentially had the same power as the previous gen of consoles at the time (PS2/GC/Xbox) so it's a legitimate question. I guess this will very much be closer to PS3 than PS4.
Lots of positivity on here but they haven't built a truly great GAMING console since the N64 and they haven't had strong 3rd party support in almost as long...so...I dunno. This could be great or it could be horrible. One thing that's already worrying me is that they are already charging for something should come as part of the experience and that's the grip thing. The Joy Cons just aren't going to be big enough for adult hands and there's noway that it will be comfortable playing any games with it. Meaning Nintendo knows we'll shell out 30-40 pounds more just for the grip.
