@reduc_ab_: First I was not merely comparing the tech between vr and 2d I'm comparing what happens when you convert something from one medium to another. When games not initially designed for a certain medium are converted to another, it may stil lwork but it's not THE experience because it is not authentic enough.

As for trying VR, I have. It's rubbish for movies and ok for games if you have the space, the time and the money. Now, as we get more aaa games for the medium, things may improve.

Obviously having a "sexy" female lead was a big deal in the late 90s but honestly, the games were a lot of fun and my lil kid brain barely registered the protagonist was supposed to be "sexy". By the early 00s, the flimsy controls and lack of progression in gameplay almost killed the franchise but playing the first of the two new versions on my PC, I gotta say, they have reinvented themselves very well. Obviously influenced by UC but thats not a bad thing at all.

I'm not a VR fan but its good t osee actual games releasing for various VR devices...the problem is that none of these games were originally designed for VR and the majority of people would alreday have played a lot of these games, so who is going to shell out big bucks for a headset and then a game they already bought?

This is a bit like movies that are converted into 3D...it's a gimmick.

You guys seem surprised at SEGA being a good game publisher but they have been just that for a long, long time now.

@drummerdave9099: What do you mean underappreciated? It came 3rd in a three horse race. It had nowhere near the 3rd party support PS2 had (no GTA, no main MGS, no FF lol) and even Nintendo abandoned it towards the end of its life cycle while the PS2 still had to GOW games and so many other 3rd parties.

Xbox had arguably the most influential 1st party release in Halo and Halo 2, while both the big daddies had online support. On top of all that, GC hadt he worst 3D Mario of all time and imo a plain mediocre game with terrible controls.

I will say that GC had the definitive MGS 1 experience and that a lot of its games have not aged that badly.

@iandizion713: YES! I think they should make an amiibo essential to actually inputing moves for a character. No amiibo? Tough luck, your character just stands there doing nothing. FUN!

Vietnam. The dense jungles, small villages, helicopters, sound track...it could be so good. Go with a Bad Company vibe, with less humour and this could be one of the best BFs in a while.

In fcat, I don't think I have thoroughly enjoyed a BF game since Bad Company 2 anyway. Having recently completed the BF1 campaign and gone deep into the mp...it's a relaly shallow experience. The mp maps are big but similar in the wya they are arranged and the campaign is bloody while trying to be thoughtful. Stick to being a game.
