Coolyfett has heard of massive denial, but these replies to this truthful review are very comical. IGN is the gold standard of reviews & really so far there are no games for this new system, that is dated prior to its release. Putting a 3D effect on 2003 graphics may be a nice selling point, but not many gamers are stuck in that age. Now gamers want to beat up IGN for a realistic & accurate review?? There is a word that best describes this sort of whining & crying. No review should stop anyone from wasting 250$. Its a free country, do what you want. CoolyfettYou don't need to be a silly troll. The review is just a marketing thing, it is not an accurate review. The reviewer gave: 8.0 in performance because you need a narrow viewing area using 3D. WOW 7.5 Build quality because the bulky build limits portability? Ha, ha, the unit is smaller than the DSi and even a lot smaller than the XL, It is just a bit more tall. 8.0 Features, has a promising fall lineup and a lot going for it. Then why the hell they gave it just 8.0? 7.0 In value because it is a bit pricey and newcomers may want to wait for a pricedrop? This one made me LOL, the 3DS has less value because newcomers may want to wait for a pricedrop? 4.00 For longevity? They need a dictionary seriously. On top of that they are lying, 2-5 hours battery when the battery last in reality 3-5 if you are using it with the highest brightness, the wireless on and the 3d effect on. Lower the brightness a bit, turn off the wireless and you may get 4 and a half or 5 hours plus if you play without 3D it will last way more. Eh? and what about the like 2 to four of the NGP?

[QUOTE="AstralDrmz"]They forgot to mentioned the 3DS charge can last up to 8 hours with 3D. What about the four hours of the NGP? I meant without 3DS.I've never really been a fan of IGN's hardware reviews, really.
They seem to be correct, in my opinion, on a lot of things, but there are always things on the user end. Take battery life: I never spend 2.5-5 hours playing a handheld away from a charger anyway, so it doesn't matter.
Reviews aren't much to come off of when it comes to hardware. I've gotten the first iteration of all of Nintendo's handhelds and I'll keep with it.

General failure can happens to any model.PS3 slim is much better because the Fatty is prone to ylod, uses more electricity, has less GB and the fan is way too loud. I also like the slim design better.
BH14
How quite the fan is depends from the time you got the unit. Some of them came with a Delta Fan and others with a Nidek.Slim
+
- Quieter
- More GB
- Uses less power
- Smaller
- No smears, fingerprints
-
- More freezes
- The cracking noises. The goddamn cracking noises.
- No PS2 BC
- Less USB ports but I never used more than one at a time. So ignore this.
- Not as nice to look at.
Slim. Just.

I've had slim, never played on a fat. I think the slim is better in almost every way, but I could definitely go for some backwards compatibility. :(Razor-LazorThe Slim version: Higher pitch fan noise in newer models. Cheap plastic exterior No touch panel on and off No colored and rotable P logo Less USB's No SD, Memory Stick slots No BC First i want to tell you that i have one Slim model. If you are going to get a new one go with the Slim.
Them Call of Duty 1,2,3 , world at war, black ops, modern warfare, modern warfare 2; in fact every single one of them has the same gameplay and the same formula. Why aren't they getting lower scores?I really don't know what to say about the score. I'm disappointed that the update in graphics and gameplay didn't help the overall score. I'm going to get it anyway, but from what I can tell, a little bit more polish would have given the game that necessary push it needed.
The problem with Pokemon is the fact that they always do a good job on the series, but not something that warrants an amazing score. I personally believe that given the track record that Pokemon and Nintendo has that they have the ability to craft a phenomenal game that pushes the boundaries of what's possible on the system.

The graphics are just not up to par with other devices like the iphone. It's nothing to be ashamed of. With all the horsepower the iphone has it has the crappiest set of games ever. Don't get me wrong, infinity Blade is really good, it's just not up there with things like mario and Zelda. Nintendo makes good games without the unreal engine.

Iphone
3DS
As for INFINITY BLADE the graphics shouldn't be taken seriously because they achived them with a engine and because the game is nor actually controlled you are just slashing the screen to play. It is just a trick. The problem is that most American developers want gaming devices to have a similar architecture to the one of PC's they don't want to work harder.
console ports much? pwned Dead or Alive, Resident Evil Revelations, Kid Icarus and many others are not ports, Oh and ocarina is not a port it is a remake.
