[QUOTE="MicrosoftISdumb"]do you really think the unemployed are the only ones who pirate games? i doubt that. LOL people with money are worst than the ones without money when it comes to piracy. I'm telling this from my own experience; i have seen and currently know people with enough money to get one game a week and they just want them all and free. They should be ashamed of themselvesBoo hoo? Cry me a river? Simply don't mod your 3DS and you have nothing to worry about. Get a job and buy your games. Become productive in your life and do something with it.

Whether any review is good or bad whatever
But please, there was a Wii level handheld with 3D glassless graphics, a good analog stick, among other things is 2003?
You realise most iPhone games are barely better graphics wise than 3DS titles? And thats if you're using an iPhone 4, not any of the older titles.
I don't get it. the NGP and the iPhone 4 are pretty much the only handhelds capable of better graphics than the 3DS, so how is that 2003? A handheld that isn't out yet, and a handheld that came out June 2010?

Oh and this is the cost of the devices:
3DS $249.99
iPhone 4. $299.99 with a 2 years contract paying at least $50 dollars a month, plus the online service, the downloadable content, the extra minutes and so on. WOW WHAT A DEAL!
Now we are just making up stuff. Iphone 4 is $199 with a two year contract and all smart phones are expensive. When the blackberry was first released it was around $200-300. Those palm phones were around $500. You are comparing two different type of technologies here so lets calm it down. The cheapest is $200 not the other one.[QUOTE="Coolyfett"]Coolyfett has heard of massive denial, but these replies to this truthful review are very comical. IGN is the gold standard of reviews & really so far there are no games for this new system, that is dated prior to its release. Putting a 3D effect on 2003 graphics may be a nice selling point, but not many gamers are stuck in that age. Now gamers want to beat up IGN for a realistic & accurate review?? There is a word that best describes this sort of whining & crying. No review should stop anyone from wasting 250$. Its a free country, do what you want. darth-pyschosis

But in reality a portable console shouldn't be reviewed. They are reviewing it by using whats available right now, not by looking at the upcoming features like the browser, the shop and all the upcoming games. This like saying the upcoming consoles sucks because they launch without many great games.[QUOTE="soulreaper-4"][QUOTE="DustinTheWind"]
To be fair, none of the reviews have actually said it sucks. They're actually all generally positive. 7/10 isn't 'amazing,' but it's far from 'suck.'

You can't review anything on potential.
I have zero problem with them reviewing a system when it launches with what it launches with.
Besides, the poor software line-up are just one of many problems with the 3DS.
Yeah i admit the launch line-up is not the best but you can't say a console sucks or give it a very low score because of this. It doesn't makes sense at all! As for the battery life3 to 5 with the wireless, 3D and the highest brightness on is reasonable. On top of that if you are let say outside you can turn off the 3D and it will last up to 8 hours plus more if you turn off the wireless function. Wider screen, two 3D cameras (intended for games not actual pictures), Circle Pad, More graphics abilities, new OS, Gyro sensors, backward compatibilities; just with these the system is better than the current DS and all the upcoming titles will make it better. But in reality a portable console shouldn't be reviewed. Hey guys do you think a system with the following games sucks?
SSFIV 3D
Resident Evil Mersenaries
Resident Evil Revelations
Metal Gear Solid 3
Dead or Alive Dimensions
Paper Mario
Kid Icarus Uprising
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
These are just some of the upcoming games. Do you think this sucks?
The problem is that on the 3DS you'll get that with the MINIMAL settings.[QUOTE="Rod90"][QUOTE="BrunoBRS"] the DSi has a 4-6 hours battery life on max settings. i don't know what people are rambling about.dzimm
No, the 3DS will give you 3 to 5 hours on its highest settings (3D, full brightness, WiFi). Simply turning the brightness down will get you up into the 5 to 6 hour range, and with 3D off, you're looking at 7 to 8 hours. IGN wasn't being entirely honest about the battery life because they never noted that it was a worst-case-scenario. That's right, up to 8 hours just with the 3D off and if you turn off the wireless plus lower the brightness it will last longer.
It sure is biased because the battery last 3 to 5 hours not 2 to 5, and that is with 3D on, Wireless on and brightness all the way up. lowering the brightness and turning off the wireless will make it last way more and if you turn off the 3D is will last even more. The 3D was added at last and the truth is that people are not getting the system because it is 3D, they are getting it because it has better graphics a lot of upcoming quality third party games and all the Nintendo franchises. Another proof the reviewer is biased is the value score. New comers may want to wait for a pricedrop. Is that really a value problem?I think we need to stay focused here. The major marketing ploy for the 3ds is the 3d. Now since we are all used to the long battery life of the current ds have something that isn't even half of that with 3d I think is inexcusable. The IGN review does do a little nit picking but like i said in previous posts I thought they highlighted the positives and negatives of the system. With that kind of price tag I really do want something that will give me a little more battery life. But for some of you to totally discredit the review because it doesn't agree with your preconceptions of the product is just fanboish imo. This is one of IGN's most balanced reviews and they have been known for some lack luster efforts in the past. If you want to get the 3ds like most of us do then get it but don't sit there and say this review was bias. They supported each claim and defended their opinion. Have to give them respect for at least backing up their stance on the issue
