In all seriousness, I don't think a developer like N-Fusion should be harped on for this. I'm pretty sure it's their first outing on consoles and their first UE3 effort. This seems like the WWII FPS for casual gamers, since it's billed as an "Action Shooter," and plays more arcade-y than anything else.
Still, I've never played a game where the enemies go out of their way, and come out from their cover, just to try and melee you -- only to get a butt to the face.
I think it depends, and preference changes from girl to girl. I like to keep mine buzzed and most girls I know say it's a good look.
EDIT: The most important thing is hygiene. Keep it clean and any girl who is interested in you will be able to put up with your hair, even if they don't like the look.
