My vote is for Assassin's Creed as well. I wanted to love it but the retarded enemies, repetitive gameplay, boring sci-fi "twist", and horrible combat killed it for me. Plus, those d*mn homeless people begging for change and the crazies that pushed you around were annoying as hell.

I might pick up NHL 09 if the AI's a little better than last year. The games that I really want are Little Big Planet and Call of Duty: World at War but I'll probably give Resistance 2 a try.

i say you should just wait for the new and cheaper 80 GB to come out, and see if the 40 GB drops in price. if they dont, then at least you can buy the 80 GB for less money. :PJester070

That's exactly what I'm thinking of doing as long as people think the 40GB PS3's price will drop (kinda like the way the 20GB XBox 360's price dropped now that the 60GB version is out).

So I'm thinking of picking up a PS3 pretty soon and I was debating on waiting until September to pull the trigger. My main question is this: do you think Sony'll drop the price of the current 40GB version once the new 80GB PS3 comes out?

I have no need for the card readers, additional USB ports, DualShock, or backwards compatibility as I don't currently own any video games. I'm also not a fan of the Metal Gear Solid games (don't have the attention span for stealth games) so the MGS bundle isn't the most reasonable way for me to go either. If I could pick up a 40GB for $350 or less once the 80GB PS3 comes out, that'd be sweet. What do you guys think?

If there is no sequel, then assassin's creed will win.

Correction: If there is no sequel, then I will win

I was seriously disappointed with the game in general (gameplay, story, ending). If the gameplay doesn't change radically for the next game, I'd rather that they didn't even make a sequel just so I won't have to hear about it any more.

To each their own though. If you loved the game, more power to you as this is just my opinion.

Having owned both games (UT3 twice), I can say that Call of Duty 4 suits my tastes much better. I really wanted to like UT3 (that's why I bought it twice), but it just didn't do it for me. I sold UT3 and haven't looked back.

28 years old next month. I currently own 3 PS3 games but I've sold at least 7 games that I either didn't like or didn't play anymore.
