@jkittleson: Have you ever stopped to consider that people actually like creating mods? Yes, believe it or not, there are people out there that actually have creative talent that manifests itself really well in game engines that (for all their faults) allow a high degree of manipulation.

Fanboys? No, no, I think you'll find that modders actually end up being the most critical of Bethesda out of everyone. Look at any serious modder on the Nexus and you'll find them thanking Bethesda for the platform, but dissing them at the same time for making bad development decisions. And these are people that are much more knowledgeable about the situation than you or I.

Why can't we be critical of Bethesda while enjoying their unique games at the same time?

@suppaphly42: Gamespot has been bad lately. Clickbait articles galore and very few journalistic pieces with any thoughtful content. Just compare the "articles" published in the last several months on GS with the articles posted by the gaming journalists over at Forbes. FORBES for christ's sake.

A dedicated game news site is worse than a general news site with a focus on business.

So yeah, I think comments show that there has been some sort of mass migration away from GS.

@GT_APE: For most games made in 2014-2015? Yes. They do suck.

For a sequel to Fallout 3? Nah, I'm happy.

The animations worry me more than the textures, models and lighting. Bethesda has always been shit at animations and it seems that will never change. At least not until they dump their ancient engine.

@clugaman: Right, but I made that comment with that in mind. Console mods will not be anything like what's possible on the PC, both in scope and quality.

Still a lot more control than consoles have had before, which is great either way. And yeah, simple fixes should be possible... which is nice considering Bethesda still left so many bugs untouched when they declared themselves "finished" with Skyrim 1 year later.

Characters and textures in general are certainly disappointing compared to other modern games, but compared to FO3 it looks great.. and that's all that matters to me. More of the same, but a little better -- as promised by the title "Fallout 4".

That being said, I'd be really hesitant to buy this on console, knowing that it will never look or run any better and that some things likely won't ever get fixes, like with Skyrim.

PC though, this will, given some time, become yet another polished Bethesda sandbox with endless possibilities. Very excited.

Best way to get rid of these woe-is-me, self-centered, pseudo-victim attention hogs is to ignore them.

They are the next evolution of the internet Troll. Modern and P-C. By facing them we make them stronger.

Do not feed her.

This game is a joke among most PC players now. I don't see Xbox players feeling any different.

It's been proven that gamers have better analytical and problem-solving skills than the average person, so that's good.

But that does not necessarily mean a gamer has better than average knowledge of the world around them. Often times we won't take the time to inform ourselves. And who the hell would when FO4 is on the horizon. Pshh, the politics of the Wasteland are much more important.

Don't care how this one turns out. Don't care how any single fucking thing or person mentioned in this whole article turns out, real life or not, tomorrow or a dozen years from now.

**** I'm so sick of hearing about these people.

K, I'm cool. That was cathartic.
