So... Either Kotick is a paranoid schizophrenic (smart money's on that one) or West and Zampella are former CIA.
Because seriously, if there was ANY evidence the two were planning a double cross, they would have found it. Hell, it's an office building; rumors and facts have a tendency to spread like wildfire at any work place.
This whole fracas started with Activision detaining West and Zampella for hours and confiscating their personal equipment. Sounds like it was a panicked last ditch effort to turn something up.
@GamerLegend10 With this much money on the line, expect Activision to drag it on long enough to get West and Zampella to give up and either ask for a settlement for less than they were suing for or for them to drop it all together.
@8a8eh911 Because this kind of nonsense ends up destroying the games we play. This is a multi-million dollar trial which will result in one of these companies being burned to the ground financially.
@Philly1UPer I think it's quite hyperbolic and down right asinine to blanket the community with general assumptions just because people still point out an obvious flaw in something. Especially to assert that it's, "ruining their lives."
I will agree that some of the response to the ending has been - well - ignorant. Starting a fundraiser just tells EA that people are willing to pay for something that shouldn't have been broken in the first place.
@fieryermine The Extended Cut will be free and will supposedly explain how the crew got back onto the Normandy and why Joker was fleeing. Whether or not it will go into the specifics of your choices is a matter of debate at this point.
As for the Indoctrination Theory, Hudson said that that was actually a consideration while they were fumbling around after realizing they had no ******** clue how to end the series.
@DragonRift I will give you that RTS games miss the mark on consoles, but why should custom content immediately be a par for PC to console ports? That's an extremely asinine argument for the discussion. Also, there is at least two examples I can think of where gamers being able to play together on consoles and PCs: Shadowrun and Final Fantasy XI.
@a1450358509 It's not a matter of technology, it's a matter of publishers being a necessary evil. Anyone who can develop a game free from publishers right now are doing so: Rovio, Mojang, Double Fine, etc, are all making games free of publishers. However, publishers open doors to revenue, marketing, distribution, and publication avenues that self-publishing just doesn't have. True, Angry Birds and Minecraft managed to punch a huge hole into the standard paradigm of game publishing. However what Rovio and Mojang have done can't work for every project.
A publisher doesn't have to be an evil, egg-sucking prick in the ways that Activision, EA, and others have been. Sadly, they choose to be that way. In most cases, it's because they believe if they aren't, nothing will get done and projects will turn into a crap shoot (not that they aren't already).
