You can do a lot of the stuff you can do in photoshop in gimp, you just have to look harder. If you have the money to pay for PS, it's probably better.
In my opinion I prefer Paint.Net, but my experience with Gimp has been very small (it's a bit confusing and frustrating), now I have to say from the reviews I've read and looking at the editing potential of Gimp that it's definetly better than Paint.Net, now I have to say that Paint.Net is easier for begginers but more useful with more editing potential.
So if you're just looking for a quick easy photo editor,get Paint.Net.
If you're a veteran at this stuff and don't mind learning how to use Gimp, get Gimp.

This is true. If you've never really used photo editing software, Gimp will confuse the hell out of you.

Yeah. I enjoyed Disturbia quite a bit. I really don't know which movie i think is the absolute worse I've ever seen. I've seen a lot of bad ones but I really can't just pick out one.

The easiest thing to do is to upload it to a site like photobucket. Then copy the img code into the "My signature" box in your forum preferences. If you tried that already then i don't know what you're doing wrong.
