Whatelse is new? I mean we already shouldve knew what gamespot was going to give this game, I mean look at every review they have gave high scores these last few months. Almost all of them are shooters.

Its great to see these scores but just wish they couldve been more fair with Ratchet And Clank Score because even though I think Mario Galaxy did deserve its score, kind of sad to see how gamespot seems to low blow PS3 titles. I know its old news but had to let it be heard. Just from these reviews alone already shows me Mass Effect will get a score between 9.5 and 9.7 and reason I say that is even though it is an RPG, it has the mechanisms of a shooting game aswell. I just hope gamespot doesnt low blow Uncharted because just from playing the demo uncharted seems to be a game that everyone is overlooking but truelly in my opinion is just as good as any of these games out right now. It may not have online but it will have alot of replay value. Anyways congrats on crysis with its score and lets be fair with reviews gamespot, thanx. :)

I hate in fact M$ has to charge us for online play and other stuff. I mean, we could get this stuff for free with the other systems, why not xbox live.

I have pay my 360 $400 along with a $60 game... Now I have to keep paying online so I get my full experience?? which makes it worst, I pay $30 every month with dsl along with $7 extra... Com'on people it should be free, it's P2P!! Duh!! Good thing I figure out this milkage from M$ from the net, good thing I got mines free for 5 months and only payed a $7 pre-card.

People just need to realize this, yea I gonna hear people say "But It's ONLY $50"..... Ummm, no.. People got to pay the rent you know. My point is, Xbox live is just a huge big rip-off, just for you people who are in denial should know... Ps. do some a little research

Trust me with all the people I run into on xbox live, there are alot of them are young and talk alot of crap making me believe that they have parents who will spoil there ass. Me on the other hand I can afford xbox live and all but I feel u on where u coming from. Some people just cant afford to pay for broadband and then u have to pay xbox live aswell, that is a big issue if u are the one paying all the bills for the house but most of these people dont pay all the bills and is why they make it look so cheap, when really if u own your own house or live in an apartment and u paying all da bills, its a whole different story, because even with just 7 more dollars a month just for xbox live that is still money adding to your bills. I fMS was smart and really wanted to end this conflict with Sony, they would be smart and just make xbox live free, and that would prolly be a wrap for sony's ps3. Thats why when I come home from work and play COD4 on my PS3 or Warhawk or Resistance, I dont have to worry about any money issues of online play. I just pop the game in and im ready to play anytime, where as for my xbox live gold, I have to make sure I playhalo 3 or any of the other games online just to make sure im making use of that money, so its a drag having to do that. With my ps3 if I am tired then I dont have to play it for a month str8 and still hop on a month later and not worry about damn I didnt play a month str8 and there goes money down the drain. :)

This is actually a littleold but I didn't see any threads about this so I'll post it. On the last Wiik-in-review they were comparing Mario Galaxy to Mass Effect to see which game was better. Jessica on the podcast said that she had put significant time in both games and she thinks that Mass Effect would win game of the year. Obvoiusly we all know that Galaxy was easily an AAA title. That said Mass Effect will probably get AAA.

I will admit this is a huge game but I wouldnt say ME has GOTY just yet because it still has games out there to go against that have very high scores across the board. Orange Box, Halo 3, Mario Galaxy, Bioshock, Call of Duty 4, Assassins Creed, Uncharted. There are alot of good games that can win GOTY. I havent played Mass Effect yet but just from watching videos, the game looks stunning graphically but doesnt seem all that amazing gameplay wise. So I think we should all wait until we have played the game and then see from there because right now COD4 is the game im just stuck on.

Damn these guys deserve alot of praise for how fast they work and how amazing the quality of these titles that come out from insomniac. I loved Resistance Fall of Man and Ratchet And Clank so much that I already know Resistance Part 2 will be a Killer App for PS3 owners. Great job Insomniac and us gamers love your AAA titles, even though u guys dont get the recognition and credit u should get, keep up the great work. :)

Although Mass Effect has some obvious charm, that charm is short lived and at best it fails to deliver fully on its promises. The constant emphasis on combat, something many have come to expect from North American titles quickly becomes tiresome and leaves players with a bad taste in their mouth. Mass Effect maintains a futuristic, sometimes comical atmosphere throughout the entire game, yet it never really makes you laugh. Its resource management system is, at best, woeful and the interaction and dialogue between the games either extraordinarily cliché, or just plain bland characters is only barely able to get the story across but somehow manage to remain stiff and unlikeable throughout the course of the game. The weapons and their subsequent upgrades are absurdly unrealistic even when factoring in artistic license and the games setting. The multiple branching dialogue paths makes finding the correct path that you're supposed to play the game difficult at best as reloading from previous saves becomes necessary, and at times absolutely crucial in order to get the proper ending to the game. To make matters worse, the game is hardly playable in its default 'real-time' mode. It's slightly better in the turn based mode, but the lack of respawning enemies and legendary equipment makes reaching a high level near impossible.

Mass Effect was a title that promised to deliver, but sadly, despite the potential of the game and its setting, it achieves a less than mediocre level of satisfaction from playing it at best .

If this is true, I still am going to buy this game, and I dissagree with famitsu with giving it such a poor score, but if it is true, remember people, this is just one site or magazines personal opinion and review of the game and means nothing, just how I dissagree with the review of what Ratchet got from gamespot. Anyways Mass Effect may not look as great of a title to me as Assassins Creed and Uncharted but one thing I know for sure is u will have alot of hours of fun on this game and to me that is must buy title for me. Another thing is, OXM and a few other users on this forum are already saying this game has the best story ever, which I think is big words if u are to compare it to Final Fantasy games of the passed and The master of story telling, Mr. Kojima with the MGS Series. I would have to play Mass Effect first and find out for myself if this game truelly does have the best storyline of all time. I will buy this game though and should be a great game to go along with Uncharted and Assassins Creed for this holiday season for me. :)

Sorry but even as a 360 owner, im not proud to use PDZ as ownage over Resistance Fall of Man because I have both games and clearly Resistance is a better game all around. Im not trying to sound fanboyish, its just the damn honest truth.

Having played COD4 on the Ps3 and the 360, I have noticed that the PS3 players are way more skilled then the 360 players..I think it might be from all the lag on the XBL P2P, but it really is noticable..

Really this is just a joke but it would be very cool if we could cross compete in online games, then having a scoreboard showing the best players and on what system..Team death match Ps3 vs 360 in COD4 would be sweet..

The thing is though on xbox live u are usually on a balanced basis when playing with other besides the host (Basing on how good the host is on the game your playing) I mean I think ive have killed tons of good players on raibow six, halo 3, and even other old titles from last gen when there wasnt a ps3/xbox 360 around, but one thing I do notice is if u are a real good player and host a room, they usually have the advantage over the rest of the pack. This is why I bought COD4 for my ps3 because I knew there would be no host advantage and I get to test my skills against other ps3 members. To be honest I think im pretty good on COD4 and am a level 45 right now but u still run into those guys that are just hands down, kick ass online gamers, but there is only one way u can find out or u are on his level and that is to give him a good run for most kills or kill his ass alot and usually they send u a clan invite or a friends request. I dont accept clan invites but I do accept new friends and is what makes the whole online expirience even funner is when u make new friends, it just makes the whole online thing much better and your money's worth. :)
