From Software are a company that seems to care what fans think. Although, they said the new Dark Souls will be more 'accessible'. I want a hardcore rpg goddammit! Kares, when you mentioned Atlus and NIS I'm guessing you were mainly talking about Nippon Ichi games (Disgaea etc.). They're a great company when it comes to making games for their fans,irishdude199210
the thing is when designing a game you can make the main storyline relatively simple.. at least at the beginning but maybe the difficulty will ramp up.. and theere could be bonus stuff for players who clutch it out ya know

On the topic of Eidos and Square-Enix, Deus Ex Human Revolution is awesome. Really solid, lengthy, interesting game. Bad thing was, despite being able to choose upgrade paths, the boss battles relied more on your shooting abilities than anything else. Still, that's only a minor gripe I have with the game. Here's an interesting fact for you: 'Deus Ex' is short for the latin 'Deus ex machina' meaning 'God of the machine'. This ties in with the whole concept of the game (robotic augmentation etc.). Did you know that the Hitman series is being made by the Sqaure-Enix owned Eidos Montreal for all future releases? I like Hitman games, and Eidos Montreal developed Deus Ex HR, so I'm actually happy with that decision by Square-Enix. Deus Ex is more stealth than action most of the time, so hopefully Hitman games remain stealth oriented.irishdude199210
agreed hitman and deus ex are amazing I got the collectors editions.. I think they are busy making ff14 and versus 13 the experiences we are looking for, and maybe the sequels to 13 are just to hold us over.. I think the sequels were great. they added some new elements.. and I love the themes they cover in the new games

It's disapointing.. I'm still clinging to ANY last hope that they will redeem even a sliver of how good they used to be. (well to be fair... from what little I've played of KH:3D so far, it's pretty good) but that's the only thing they seem to be keeping consistent.Xx_Kares_xX
I actually like finalfantasy 13 and the new games.. but I can see how they are using the series to make money.. I think they really do care about the series

Thanks Squallsrevival, glad you liked it ^^. I'm namely writing these to open up discussions not to say 'I'm write and your opinions wrong' (well.. most of the time).

x.x... yeah... I've heard that connection it's all bullsh*t made up by square to try and sell more copies of the game (once again, they've even come out and said so). It was not originally intended to be connected they just retconned it after fans asked about Shinra's name (which was supposed to be just a simple easter egg for those paying attention)

Edit: If you notice all of these connections came from X-2, not X... a game that they knew was not going to sell as well and they knew that fanboys would flock to buy a copy if it was related to their precious Final Fantasy VII... (I'm not being a hypocrite... I nerdgasmed just as hard when I first found that article years ago.. but with further research I learned it was just a marketing ploy... Square... once again... at their finest...)

Xx_Kares_xX
lol way to spin it in a negative way.. but yeah I have to agree it seems like square has sold out..

I read your looong post kares :) and it was a great read.. Also read all the replies.. And I am curious did you guys know of the connection between ffx and ff7? I just read an article that says theses two games are actually connected, but there is thousands of years between them. Shinra from final fantasy 7 is named after shinra from ffx. Shinras relatives went into space and landed on gaia and then created the shinra corporation. This is confirmed by the games creators. Look at the similarities between the bevelle underground and midgar. There are also missions that show how Rin and shinra start to work together. With rins finances shinra is able to analyze the farplane and then generations after him are able to use the vegnagun to siphon the farplane and use the energy as a resource. This technology is then used on gaia to suck out the lifestream. MIND BLOWN

[QUOTE="ArchoNils2"]

[QUOTE="jsmoke03"]

i havent had a BAD ff game experience yet.

ShadowsDemon

Then you skipped several Final Fantasies so far. FF14 is one of the worst gamesof it's year and some other games (like this crystal chronicles which is on DS and looks like a crappy port on Wii) that are just bad. Along with the extremly disappointing titles (like 13) and the games they announced like 5 years ago (Versus) the image from the series goes downhill and I know a lot personally that agree with me. It used to be a stamp of quality, but today SE putss it on every fantasy JRPG they sell just in hope to increase the sales

Personally I found FF13-2 a lot more disappointing than FF13. But you're right, nothing is worse than FF14 :P

serah and noel are kind of over the top were a little cheesy lol

[QUOTE="Lulekani"]It seems Final Fantasy is suffering from "Franchise Fatigue" and whats with all FF Versus hype, its alil careless to be talking about a game thats barely even in its planning phase. I think yall should take a break. Plus its the holidays, why not spend some time with the relatives ?ArchoNils2

We already got gameplay videos ... 2 years ago. barely in planning phase? lol!

Oh and why we (or at least I'm) excited? becaue it looks like the opposite of FF13. Open regions, KH style battle system, dark setting

Also the last part doesn't belong in here. Why don't you spent time with your relatives instead of telling others to?

yeap
