I didn't say it didn't make sense. It made very little sense. And when it did make sense, it was like a 7-year-old child's story. Yay I save the world from this ridiculously named proper noun that I just don't give enough sh*t to remember, with some other ridiculously named proper noun that I just don't give enough sh*t to remember, while being this ridiculously named proper noun that, again, I just don't give enough sh*t to force myself to remember. It's Japanese RPG's cliches at its best, its chyuunibyou (emo-ness in English, I guess, can't find a suitable translation for it) at its best. Whoop-dee-f*cking-doo. and you do all this with a guy named Snow. Snow. Good Lord, I pity the writers at Square Enix Japan, I really wish I can go and help them out, and I would do it for free.

It made perfect sense.. you were just looking at the superficial aspects of it clearly

behind everyone of those "ridiculous proper nouns" was a profound relevance to our world. Your opinion just speaks to your own knowledge of the relevance to the demons in our world.

have you noticed each of the final fantasy games are grande metaphors. the entire game is a metaphor.

final fantasy 13 certainly had soul.. you can tell by listening to the creators they treasure this series and every game in it.. why do you think versus 13 has taken 5 years. They put all their heart and soul into everygame.. The story was not only beautiful, emotional and relevant. It was very deeo and soulful.

Right, because gods are such a rare thing in FF games? the story was flat... it was alright but it wasn't final fantasy standard, I cant fathom how anyone would like the characters anymore tahn the flat characters in ff12. there was simply nothing to them, a bunch of emotional cutscenes with pretty graphics doesn't change that. to each their own, but the combat system was mindless, utterly. tried to make the game actiony with pop-anime combat flash, I gaurenteed if it was any other JRPG that didnt have the label its combat system would of be slammed to the ground.

well yeah I don't play many jrpg's I bought the game because it was a final fantasy game.. one thing I don't do is read reviews before I buy a game.. may sound weird but it puts ideas in your head goin into the game.. combat system was 4/5 if you know what you are doin.. i could finish most battles in about a minute, so it was not bad.. ff13-2 improved that.. the entire story behind it is what got me into it.. I like to read more about the world. and the ability to time travel in ff13-2 is unprecedented amazing! And much of the history of their world parallels our world and things we face in the future, so it made me think.. I love a game that makes me think!

I like XIII for its amazing art design, cool battle system, a story that was great until Gran Pulse, and the sexy and bad ass Lightning, but it was probably my least favorite of the main series (I've never played XI and XIV) because it didn't have variation. I adore X tho. Never played Crystal Chronicles.

I like the 21st century themes in 13 like singularity, man-made gods, transhumanism

i havent had a BAD ff game experience yet.

I have played every one of them except 14 and I have to say I love it.. The themes that are derived from reality, the character development, the history, the mythology... When I first started playing them I didn't even know they were mainstream... My friend's all thought they were dumb and I was like 11 and played FF8 and it changed my idea of what a game was.
