Very interesting, indeed. A good use for motion controllers as well. Certainly better then tossing them at the TV.

The thing is, I don't have a ton of money to spend on games. So, games that score 6.0 or below just aren't worth my money. I'd rather spend my hard earned money on a polished 7.0 and above game, and risk it being "soulless", then waste it on a 6.0 and below game that might have a soul, but otherwise sucks. There's also the time factor, I don't have a ton of free time to play games, so I'm not going to waste it on a game that could be not very fun at all. That could happen with a game that is 7.0 and over, but it's more likely to happen with a game that's 6.0 and below. Could a game with 6.0 and below be fun? Sure. But I'm not gonna waste my time and money to find out.

Salvatore has been one of my favorite authors for a long time. I was considering giving Amalur a pass, but with him involved, now it's a must buy. I have to wonder well he can translate creating book story into game story, though. We shall see.

There's a place in Florida called Hard Knocks that I know Police and SWAT teams train at sometimes. What Hard Knocks did is basically took a FPS and turned it into a real life area, except the guns shoot infrared, not bullets. It's tech they adapted from what the military uses to train, and it's not video games. lol. Hard Knocks also likes to have lots of beautiful women around, all the refs are hot girls.

Well. The games can teach them how to think on their feet without them actually being on their feet, and if they play them enough, they might get a boost on their reflexes. However, I do hope they have a good balance with real life training, where they are actually on their feet. It's still a fairly new thing, so they are still figuring out the best way to use it.

Hmm, I probably won't get any of the new ones. I've yet to even get a PS3 or an Xbox 360, even though I do want them. I'm mainly a PC gamer, and with all the PC games I have, and have yet to get, I may never get a console, besides my PS2 and Wii. And, while my two consoles are gathering dust, I used my PC just about every day for games, which says a lot.

@finaleve See, that's what I meant, you make your own character, like in Soul Caliber, and Mortal Kombat, or say, Skyrim or Fallout New Vegas (very detailed character creation!), and then fight your way up to the big leagues. It wouldn't be like Street Fighter, where you have a ton of different established characters to play as to start with, although they could be unlockable as you progress. The point is, you wouldn't be stuck playing vets right at the start, you'd only play them when you are also a vet, and you'd be playing other players at just about the same level as you, so they couldn't spam the most powerful attacks to win. It'd be fair!

Well, why not have a fighting game like other games? Players would start at lvl 1, and work their way up from there, learning new attacks as they go, and only able to fight players of similar lvls. They'd only have all the attacks at max lvl, when they'd get tot the big leagues. Hopefully, by then they'd have enough experience with the game to kick butt at least as much as their butt gets kicked. And, of course, for the ones who are already experienced with fighting games, have an accelerated mode, so they can get to the big leagues faster.
