Just noticed it's not even developed by Firaxis. That explains the absence of Sid Meier's name in the title. Yup, I think it's safe to say this has absolutely nothing to do with the actual Civ series.
The art style and color palette reminds me of the new SimCity... which...is...not a good thing. I think the whole appeal of the series is being a single player experience. To me this is just.. no.
Very bad interview. Who's this obnoxious kid asking about elephants? FFS this is a serious franchise that many people love. The dev, on the other hand, handled it very professionally. The game looks excellent. I'm not a big fan of the capture points, but I'm willing to give it a shot. Hopefully there will be an option to disable them. Everything else look amazing. Can't wait!
@dragonkantus I think the game itself is great, but it's seriously brought down on PC due to the always-online requirement. Disconnections and lag either due to server issues or ISP service fluctuations make the game unplayable when they occur. And they do happen on occasion. There's absolutely no excuse to keep this shit on PC. Especially, since they openly exposed their bullshit excuses with this offline console version. Huge foul by Blizzard to piss on their loyal PC fans.
@shanethewolf I consider it to be a LucasArts masterpiece. Loved everything about it, especially the characters, puzzles and the story. Different strokes.
