@bdiddytampa I agree it's definitely not a bad game. It's a great game, albeit with a simplified skill system, hindered by a horrible always-online scheme. I really hope that in time, with the PS3 getting an offline mode they will consider giving us PC users an offline mode as well so I can play without having to worry about lag and/or connection issues.
The irony is so thick I can't stand it. EA offering ANOTHER Origin-bound game as an apology for the bullshit DRM in SimCity. Shamelessly trying to turn a fail into a marketing win by pushing those Origin hooks deeper. Hilarious and tragic at the same time.
Scum of the earth. What blinding arrogance. They have no idea what they're doing do they. How long do they think they can f*** people over without consequences? SCRAP THE ALWAYS ONLINE. idiots.
@nocoolnamejim Yes, but irrespective of the polish they could have allowed for the game, the fact remains that the problem lies with always-online connections for a single-player games. This will always be a problem for us paying customers no matter how polished the game is. Lag, connection and server issues will always ruin the experience when they implement this bullshit. Not to mention they destroy the hard work of all the developers who poured their soul into a game that gets flogged.
@ali_arkani Do you mean Forgotten Sands? I loved that game, even if it didn't have the complex combat system the first 3 had. It was still a great puzzle platformer. But the previous title "Prince of Persia" (2008) was ruined because it had no challenge whatsoever. Anyway, yeah, I hope they go back to the style of the first 3 eventually..
