It's not that it's bad, it's that I'd rather play those games on a console.

I bought it for the DS a while back to see what all the fuss was about. It was okay for a day, then I found it extremely repetative and I was wondering what the hell I was doing with a virtual dog when I have a real one... Women may find it cute, but I find it repulsive.

and you are clearly the one that decides if a game is good or bad for everyone
It wasn't a game to me either but it was a well made game and i can see why some ppl like it a lot and why it sold 11 million.
try not to be so narrow minded.
I was expressing my opinion of the game. I'm pretty sure I have a right to play what games I like or don't like. Being narrow minded would mean I would be saying all of this s*** without even having played the game. I gave the game a chance, and it was not good. I got no satisfaction from taking my virtual dog on a walk only to have to clean up it's crap. Since when is picking up s*** fun? The game was so linear, and there was hardly anything to do. Walk, feed, brush, enter contest. That's all you did, EVERY DAY. It just so happens to be my opinion that this was not a good game.
you called another poster ignorant because they disagreed with you and thought that the game was good. also you can break most games into simple things. all we do in fps's is walk shoot reload.
it's just that some ppl will find playing with a virtual dog fun while others like virtual war.
'It was still AAA, and scores are all that really matter when determining if a game is good or not.'
That is why I called him ignorant. Maybe you should have looked around in the thread a little more. A score determines one persons opinion who reviewed that game, and does not mean it will pertain to your tastes, or be a good game in your opinion at all. His statement was blatantly ignorant, so I called it out.
Also, most FPS have a story to keep you going, Nintendogs doesn't. Plus, comparing those two games is like apples and oranges anyway. Nay, not even oranges, more like apples and bananas.
I still don't see why you are defending this so much seeing as you said you didn't really enjoy the game either.
Look, no one cares about your opinion. All anyone cares about is Gamespots opinion, sorry but it's true. I don't like it either, but that's how system wars works.
More ignorance? If no one cares about anyone's opinion except Gamespots, then why would anyone post? No one would care. Your logic fails, and you are annoyingly ignorant.
I guess you just don't get how System Wars works. All that matters is scores, it doesn't matter that I think LoZ:TP should've gotten a 9.6, it matters that it got an 8.8. Same with Nitnendogs it doesnt matter how bad you thought it was, all that matters is that it got a 9.1.
We should be able to talk intelligently (with no fanboyism) about games instead of relying on reviews from gamespot. Becasue we all know that their rating system is........broken.
Of course we should, but just try saying that to the hundreds of fanboys who are on this forum when one of your favorite games flops.

Do you know what a score is? It's when one of the reviewers from Gamespot, takes his opinion on the game, writes a review, then gives it an overall score. There is no built in system on System Wars. I don't understand what point you are trying to make. Loz:TP should've gotten a 9.6 in your opinion. That's fine. There was an outrage when it received only AA status. However, to say that GS's score is LAW, is not only wrong, but just stupid. :|
Of course it's stupid, but that's how it works. Anyways lets end this argument. Nintendogs may be a crap game to you and probably me, but there is no denying that a lot of people like it. It pretty much sealed the fate of the DS beating the PSP and it's sold over 11 million copies.

Nintendogs is an AAA game.
So? I have a real dog to take care of. Not a fake polygon who eats virtual food. It wasn't fun on the DS, it won't be fun on the Wii.
It was still AAA, and scores are all that really matter when determining if a game is good or not.
The score is absolutely meaningless. Who reviewed the game, seriously? Nintendogs scored a 9 in gameplay. A nine. The Legend of Zelda TP scored an 8. Ninja Gaiden (original) scored a 9 in gameplay. Nintendogs does not have better gameplay than The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess. And Nintendogs gameplay is certainly not equal to Ninja Gaidens. I know B******* when I hear it. Who reviewed this game any way?
Yep, it sucks, but that's how System Wars works.

I hope it does too, and I'm definantly picking this game up the first day it comes out. But I'm just used to Wii games not living up to their hype, and then everyone else making stupid threads about it.
Gee, like the way every game in system wars that flops gets bashed? You think nintendo games are special or something?
Where in my post did I say that it doesn't happen to other games too?

Actually I havn't played it, and I don't really want to. I'll agree with you it's probably not very good. But still we are on System Wars where all that matters is the score of the game.
