Completed... Kane and Lynch (360)

That game was really bad. Nothing worked, I wasn't planning to review it but I feel compelled to, I have only reviewed good games really so far so it will be fun to write a nice damming review. Yeah do not play this game!

Completed Dragon Age!

Wow! What a game, truly phenomenal, I could not sing its praises enough even if I was a bard (Dragon Age joke :P). This is definately going to be in my top 2 games of the year but I cannot decide where yet. The only blemish on my amazing experience (apart from awful visuals) was the glicth I got at the end which meant I couldn't go into to the end of game area. I got an infinite loading screen after a short ending. That was a real bummer but never mind, also I miss you Alistair, come back we will work things out I promise, I didn't mean to hurt you!

Another year already? (and starter thoughts on my top 10)

Wow 2009 went quickly and it was a fine year for gaming, in 2008 there were a few awesome games but 2009, wow, the lineup has been awesome and quite well spread over the year. We were treated to delights such as Killzone 2 and Street Fighter and Resident Evil 5 at the start and a whole bunch of great releases at the end. It has been a surprising year in many ways, who would have thought that the two games that we would have predicted would have been the top games of the year- the next installment in the Halo series and the Resident Evil series- would actually have been largely forgotten by many people and underwhelmed many more (I really enjoyed both however).

So all I need to do now is put together a detailed list of the 10 best games I played this year, the people on here that know me should have a few ideas of what will be on there but I hope to provide some surprises. So let's have a little bit of fun, anybody who wants to can make a little prediciton of what games they think I will include and the person who either gets the most correct games featured or the most games in the right positions will win a reward of being named stephenage's top predicter of 2009! A prestigious achievement indeed.

The list itself should be up shortly, I know it's 2010 already but I still have to complete two more games, Clock Blockers and Dragon Age. As soon as they are done then the top 10 will be up and you can all tell me why am I wrong :D.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to all of you,

I have recieved Dragon Age and the new Ratchet game :D

Have an awesome Christmas, I'm off to play some PS3

Completed Halo 3

Isn't that a suprise seeing as I'm a PS3 gamer. No I didn't play it co-op with a friend, I played it in my own house. Brother is round for Christmas so he brought his 360 with him, he was away for the day so I spent the day playing halo, started it yesterday and finished it yesterday, well technically today at 2:00am but you get the idea. I didn't play it non-sotp, I watched Avatar and a lot of television.

So what did I think of it, it's awesome! Really fun shooter, surprisingly good story, nothing that will blow you away but a compelling reason to keep going. I thought the second from last level was just annoying but apart from that really great game!

Just saw Avatar

So what did I think?

Well, it is too long, very predictable with some plot holes and things that just don't work but, I really liked it. It has it's issues but it is stunning and it does feel like a living world. I recommend it if you can stand the cliches.

Completed Bioshock

Just completed Bioshock and man was it awesome, the gameplay wasn't that fantastic and the shooting isn't going to blow anybody away but the story was just phenomenal. It is really good to play a game with intelligence and with depth, I'm sure most of you have already played it but if you haven't it comes highly recommened!

Completed Borderlands!

Earlier today I completed Borderlands on the xbox 360. It took two lengthy co-op sessions and I enjoyed it a lot. One of the most fun games I've played for a long itme, gameplay is great (story not so much) but it looks great and there's so much to do. The RPG elements really make it something special, cannot recommend it enough, but co-op is the way to go for the most fun!

Review- Killzone 2

Yet another review! This time it's Killzone 2 as promised, please check it out and recommend it to that forum thingy if you think it deserves it....
