@carmgv: well i’m 31 and been gaming since I was 4. I’m really excited about no load time’s and finally getting rid of the gpu bottle necks which should help games expand on there vision and creativity
N64 vs PS - while the n64 looked a lot cleaner and no Laos times practically the ps could have vastly more complex audio and environmental detail.
Xbox vs PS2 - a brand new console that isn’t proven vs a console that was already out for a year
Xbox 360 vs PS3 - at the end of the console cycle the PS3 sold more consoles. And yes the PS3 was more powerful from pure spreadsheet terms but was so hard to code for it actually made the 360 the more powerful console for a giant chunk of the console generation.
PS4/pro vs Xbox one/X - isn’t a fair comparison. The PS4 is straight up stronger than the One, and that’s when a massive sale lead happened. The pro vs X is a while mother story. The X is selling very well for Microsoft and the pro doesn’t really feel like a worthy upgrade all to much vs the base model.
All in all it comes down to whatever console launches the best, Cause then it snowballs from there. If all your friends has said console you will probably get it yourself.
@lionheartssj1: As rumours have it there will be a cheap one that uses cloud base computing and the expensive model will work like your traditional console
this is a game that’s been built up and torn down so many times it’s at the point where they say “screw it we will just release this cause nothing really makes this game great”
I like how “2018 was our best year ever” was fallowed by “however it wasn’t good enough so we need to lay off 8 percent of the staff”. I understand that you need to cut the fat sometimes even when successful but this seems like overkill.
