@kingjulian84: Every review I've read piles on heaps of praise for both story and art direction(exterior). I still want this game for this alone. That goes along way with me... but frustrating controls, poor camera and slowdown seem to be something that GS has little time for with other games, yet here they are minor gripes or not mentioned. You can clearly see these issues in gameplay videos. 9 seems high when factoring all of these problems.

I still want to pick this up for the story aspect alone... but this game is not a 9. If ever there was proof that GS is slanted to all things Playstation this would be it. You can't ignore that the camera is horrible. There is constant slowdown and the puzzles feel dated. I can see that clearly without even playing it. I've been waiting along time for this game and I'm still looking forward to a great narrative.

@scrollinglayers: Because it didn't match your opinion? The IGN review matches many others and the complaints with it are common. I still want to play this for story... but you can't ignore the lousy camera, dated puzzles and performance issues.

@hotwog21: In their defence both consoles and games now are night and day different. Also... we played through a lot of glitches with older games and there was no MP.

One of these reviews is not like the other.... Downloaded it yesterday. So far so good with the campaign and Horde mode is the most fun I've had online in awhile. Easily a 9/10 so far.

7 Seems low compared to other reviews I've read. Not that I care. People that love Gears online will be all over this. Horde looks awesome and that alone will be worth it.

@mikemurphy80: When I am doing fx compositing/color and the camera is able to shoot 1080p or 2k I always tell them to shoot 2k. (hasn't happened in years - 4k), Simply put there is more information for me to use. More pixels. More color space information to work with. 1080p has the same vertical resolution as DCI 2K resolutions (1080 pixels which is what you are referring to), but it has decreased horizontal resolution below the range of 2K resolution formats. Simply put If 2k was just 1080p.... then it would be called 1080p. 2k is more or less irrelevant at this point anyways so its not worth arguing about. You can get into technicalities over what consumer TVs display... that's another discussion.The difference between 1080p is slight on a home projector or display, greater in a cinema... but it is there.
