If you're a big fan of RPGs, and if you liked Oblivion and Fallout, you should definitely get it. It's like those two games + DA Origins are three very different kinds of RPGs, and all three get it right. You'll enjoy it. But remember - you're a lot less "free" in DA than you are in Fallout and especially Oblivion.

I completely and utterly disagree. Oblivion is a game for the patient, yes. I think the only people who find it boring are the ids who are so used to the game being so instant0gratification like nowadays. I think older gamers like it more.

I honestly think Oblivion is the best game ever.

If I finish the main quest, am I free to do things afterwards, or should I do everything else before? I'm thinking of stopping the main quest before the landsmeet for a while.

I don't know what's been said to this point, but the way I look at it - Story ALWAYS comes first. That's what makes a game a game. A game with a bad story is like a movie that's a succession of special effects. It gets boring very fast and gives you no real satisfaction. After story, it's gotta be gameplay, because gameplay is how you navigate the story. Graphics comes last. I am TOTALLY willing to play a game with a good story and gameplay but less-than-average graphics, that's why I still play Zelda sometimes. But no matter how good the graphics are, if the story sucks, I won't touch the game more than once.

I have never been a big fan of multiplayer games. I don't even have xbox live. In my view, it's just so much nicer to sit and play through a good story by yourself, and immerse yourself in a game, rather than do the same thing over and over again and expect the fact that the picture you killed was controlled by a human being to make up for the lack of purpose.
