So, unless there is a new director, this movie is dead. Win or Lose, why would they ever hire him again?

While i would prefer Affleck stayed on as Batman, if he truly wants out, then he should just go away now. There is nothing worse than continuing on with someone that doesn't have their heart in it. Also, I really don't want the story to be tailored around an actor wanting to leave. The story should always come first.

@Uncle_Rell: All of those examples have precisely zero emotional weight though, because not even the characters in the movie seem to care at all. This movie was not dark in tone at all. Stuff happens, nobody cares and we move on to the next set piece. Jokes and humour can enhance a movie, but the serious stuff needs to be taken seriously otherwise there are no stakes. This movie was way over the top with the jokes. It was not entertaining if you were hoping for a story.

Comic movies return to campiness.. This is a huge step backwards.
