ok sorry, seems i didnt explain very well. the new psu is a 650w corsair one. and it is the same size as my old one. it fits the same space, and the clip fits into it. the screws fit too. but the hole where the power cable goes in is covered up by a vent. because the new psu power connector is in a different place to my old one. so doesnt line up with the old hole. what do i do? can i just cut a new hole for it?

hey, i got a new graphics card for my dell pc today. and most new ones you will need a new psu for. dell ones are normally about 350w, and most good cards need more than that, but be careful if you get a new power supply, cos dell are weird and the psu might not line up with the power cable hole. mine doesnt, i need to cut a hole i think :( i hope that helps.

i dont know alot about computers, so would a 4850 with a slower clock speed beat a 3870 with a higher one?
