i have just found out my mother board is either a Intel 925XE Express chipset, or a Intel 925X Express chipset. dell isnt more specific. but as far as i know, they are both LGA775, so dual core should run?

its mainly the gpu i need to replace, cos i can play games with my processor, but i have a radeon x300 :( and its poo. everything looks like a ps2 game at best :(

im just not sure what will happen if i dont have a powerful enough psu for the card i wanna get.

cheers

oh damn sorry. it was mainly about the gpu and psu, not cpu. i know the processor will bottleneck it, but would a core 2 duo processor work on my motherboard? its not too new, but is the socket the same? and i dont have much plugged in my psu, so would it be ok? what would happen if there isnt enough power?

sorry i cant be more helpful, i dont know any of the models of my parts. i will try and find out.

thanks
