I love the spin corporate always puts on these things: "...should generally only affect a very small number of players..." I think the RROD only affected a small number of players, too. Plus..."should"..."generally"...how ambiguous can you get?

No one is ever honest about these things. Just once, I'd like to see:

"Guys, sorry. We messed up. In our haste to release DLC while our game was still relevant, we skimped on most of our testing procedures. To be fair, if you bought our game at launch and had to download the day 1 patch to fix a myriad of bugs, you already know that we OFTEN do the absolute minimal amount of testing. Sorry you lost your save game, but don't let that deter you from buying the next iteration of <this game>, due out in exactly one year."
