Pelaajalehti gaming magazine from Finland did get chance to go and meet Remedy guys in their office and see what's up with Alan Wake. It wasn't first time they did have that chance, but last visit was almost 4 years ago and lot of things have chance since.
Article is 6 page long, but here is new and most important things what they found out.
- Alan Wake was planned to be sandbox game where player can roam freely, but Remedy did notice that it's quite impossible to combine free world and intense story. They didn't want to make any compromises to story telling, so they did lose open world, but still they promises that player wont feel he is only an puppet in wires and player can make lot's of choices during game play.
- There will a lot of different characters in Bright Falls whose Alan Wake can communicate and even game isn't any more sandbox game, exploration is still in important role, because for example all pages of Alan Wakes lost novel won't be automatically found during game play.
- Even Microsoft is going to publish Alan Wake, Remedy still owns all rights to Alan Wake and they are planning to utilise and expand Alan Wake IP also in other medias. Game is only beginning of Alan Wake story.
- Maybe most shocking news was that PC version of Alan Wake isn't any more obvious truth. Last time Remedy did demo PC version of Alan Wake was back 2005 and latest demos and videos are from Xbox 360 version of game.
Quite possibley the next console graphics king?
