So it will probably be like that Playstation X system and never see a release outside of Japan?

Kinda stupid not to offer it in other markets, as it would increase in the really small Vita market.

What's to stop these lazy GS managers from selling their free PS4 & games once they get them?

What will probably be worse is that there will be PS4 shortages and not everyone who was promised a launch PS4 will get their system. Meanwhile, these managers will be guaranteed their system.

Kinda misleading offer(although that's expected with Gamestop).

Yeah, you get a $50 credit, but not until after you trade in & purchased the Xbox One version already. Meaning you pay $60 for the 360 version, then pay another $60 for the Xbox One version and then finally you get the $50 credit added your Rewards account.

So if I'm understanding this right, Sega claiming THQ owes money from pre-orders? Essentially, THQ took money from pre-orders for the game, while they were filing for bankruptcy & selling off Relic?

All the while, Sega buys Relic, then has to honor those pre-orders(even though they didn't receive the money for them). Meaning it's basically lost revenue.

If that's what that means, that's some pretty shady crap that THQ pulled off. Hopefully Sega can get the money back.

Wonder how many of those are witless people that don't know about the console's restrictive features? Plus you know there will be people trying to return it the next few days after getting it saying it's not working, because they don't connect it online.

Just goes to show how out of touch he is with the consumer. If the market for disc-based games was crumbling, why are people so angry with the Xbox One & it restricting used games? Because people still care about getting disc-based games, maybe secondhand used copies.

The underlying message he seems to be saying is that the only way publishers will be able screw the customer is to ditch full version disc-based versions & go to F2P versions that nickel & dime people nonstop. That way they can charge whatever they want and sucker people into paying for it.

@Vodoo EGM isn't owned by Ziff-Davis anymore. They shut it down and sold it back to it's founder, Steve Harris. Who now has his own company running & publishing it.

As for this, it does kinda make sense. Why run 4 different gaming sites covering the same thing? It's better to consolidate under one banner.

And with this purchase, they also get back a site they originally created & then sold, 1up.com. Since IGN bought the company that ZD sold 1up.com a few years ago.

Kinda ironic that ZD is buying them. Because they pretty said 4-5 years ago that they wanted out of the video game business. Which caused them to shutter(& later sell) EGM and sold 1up.com.

Now they're getting back in with this purchase. What's funny is that they're buying IGN, who actually owns the site that they originally sold(1up.com).
