@pip3dream I agree to a point. Kevin VanOrd is one of the only Gamespot reviewers that I trust on his reviews. While he shares his opinion he also points out the facts contained within a game. He is also not afraid to give a bad score to a high profile game; see Lightning Returns and Resident Evil 6.
Some Gamespot reviewers score games lower for the wrong reasons. A reviewer should leave their own political or social views out of the review. It's ok to state whats in the game, but to put it down because it goes against your own views isn't how reviews are supposed to be done. Games are also supposed to be reviewed based on their own merit, not based on games in the same genre. Game B should not get a bad score because game A is better than game B. If you never played game A, you wouldn't be the wiser.

The more I hear about this game the more pissed I get. A proper sequel to Killer Instinct 2 was at the very top of my "must have sequels" list for many years now and now that it's finally almost here I couldn't be less impressed. Glacius playing like Dhalsim? wtf?! Jago looking more like a pirate than a ninja? wtf?!
This "free to play most generous demo" business model has to be the worst thing of all. To all of you who are defending this by saying "But it's $20 for the full game instead of $60 for the cost of other fighters", do you honestly think that will be the "full game"? The original KI had 10 characters not including the playable boss. This game however has 6 at launch (which is pathetic) and 2 being added later on. Do you honestly think they won't be adding the remaining 2 at some point for $5 each or even the 3 characters from KI2?
This was the one game that could have convinced me to buy a Xbox One and the "most generous demo" looks more like the "most disgraceful cash-in".
@RageSet @swagtile Sadly it might as well be a new developer seeing as how most of people who helped make KI and KI2 are no longer with Rare. But I do feel you, I had absolutely no interest in the Xbox One before this announcement
This is the single exclusive that could have convinced me to buy a Xbox One, I have been waiting for a sequel to KI for over 10 years....
And It looks like total crap! WTF did they do to you Jago?! What is with that god awful slow-motion crap? Is that basically a way of telling noobs "perform Combo Breaker now!"? It look like an EARLY 360 title, not even up to par with what the 360 or ps3 is currently capable of, let alone next gen.
I really hope that this is very early development Microsoft because if it isn't you just lost any chance of me buying your horrible console.
