That's an awful, awful choice. Wouldn't they choose someone Asian? After all Dragonball is Japanese, Goku is meant to be of Asian appearance... James Marters as Piccolo seems an OK choice. They should have let the Japanese handle this movie. It will seem much more authentic. I smell a "Transformers" again...Red-XIII
Goku is not Japanese. He is a space alien.

Kung Fu hustle was great.
Shaolin Soccer is better. They should have dubbed Kung Fu Hustle. It would have been funnier.

How is it hypocritical to say that war is a part of nature? Is it hypocritical to say that violence is a part of nature? violence exists in all living things, be it out of pure spite or for reasons for survival.

In and of itself, it is not hypocritical to say that war is a part of nature. War is a part of nature. It is hypocritical when people use that as an excuse to go to war, because our society has turned our back on nature in virtually every other aspect. You cannot argue that violence is only natural, when you choose to turn your back on nature in every other way.
Wow, I totally agree. It is wrong whenthe concept of war being natural is used as an excuse. It's a matter of justifying killing others for what one believes in. And murder is never justified.Another well written post.Thank you. I understand that, in the end, it might all be a dream of Utopia, but why dream of anything less? I don't know. Maybe I'm better at controlling my emotions than the average person. I just feel that no matter how angry I become about something, I always have the ability to choose a non-violent path.

True. War is part of the human nature. Conflict and confrontation have the ability to spawn innovation and change, for better or worse. War is hell, but it is needed. Some people are so die hard for their beliefs and convictions that they are willing to sacrafice their own life as well as the lives of others to preserve those ideals. It's a viscious cycle of reciprication.[QUOTE="Serial-No_3404"]war is progress...peace is stagnationworthyofnote
Sic vis pacum parabellum. If you want peace, prepare for war.
It is tremendously hypocritical to say that war is only natural, when we as social human beings seem to do everything we can to break away from nature. We destroy the rainforests to support unnatural amounts of cattle, we polute the environments to make life easier for ourselves, we create unnatural weapons of mass destruction, and so on, and so on.
Human beings made a decision a long time ago to abandon the natural way of things and come together to create societies, large groups of people that are governed by rational thought instead of mere instinct. Sure it might be natural for people to feel anger and hate for one another, but unlike the majority of other species on this planet, we are blessed with the ability to use our rational mind, to choose not to throw that instinctive punch.
Humans choose war, because it is easier to destroy that which we don't understand, than to try and settle our differences. But it is only a vicious cycle of reciprication, when you choose to recipricate the violence. You must choose not to recipricate the violence. You must choose to behave non-violently, to forgive people their mistakes.
People cannot be forced to behave non-violently, they must choose it for themselves. Hate and anger are only momentary. Only when everybody in the world understands that they have the choice whether or not to engage in hate, will war truly be at an end.
It is not that hard to understand. At the very least you need to have a high school diploma, or the equivalent.
People might not finish high school, and start going to community college instead, but all that means is that they are getting the equivalent of their high school diploma somewhere else.
Unless you are an entrepeneur extraordinaire, and can work the internet like nobody's business, you are going to be applying for jobs that will like you to have a high school diploma. They might hire you without one, but your chances of advancement are going to be severely limited. You might be able to get a job at Best Buy without graduating high school, but most likely, you will never be the manager of the store without a diploma.
