[QUOTE="Bdking57"]This is the death touch for blu ray... Paramount, Universal exlusive... warner clearly favors HD DVD with superior content and release dates... they will be next. Blu ray is a fad being fueld by PS3... thats it, no differnet then the UMD.METALgearJES
I did not realize that Paramount and Universal were the only studios. What about Sony, Lionsgate, Disney, Fox, Touchstone and Columbia? I hardly think Warner Bros will go exlcusive to HD-DVd since 300 on its first day of its release sold 190,000 on Blu-ray and 90,000 on HD DVD.
Of course there are other studios, but Paramount is the largest.
But Touchstone? Touchstone isn't a studio. It's owned by Disney.
Half-Life (1) story is a blatant ripoff of Dooms story except that its happening on Earth and aliens, while Dooms is happening on Mars and with demons. Basicly, a secret organisation (in both games) was testing new teleporter technology and something went teribble wrong, then stuff starts happening, alines or demons start spawning all overe the place - in the end in both games you have to go to a) hell to finish off the big boss guy or b) to an alient planet to finish of the big boss guy.
Half-Life 2 story is even dumber tbh, and Halo is somewhere around here. Its hard to find a game with a good story nowdays, especially in FPS games.
F-Minus
And that's why BioShock looks amazing.
Halo's story is a boring joke, seriously the Halo story looks like something out of a comedy, seriously it has aliens that look like mutated evolved chicken, monkies and whatever, a ring around a planet :?
I like to think that in most cases believability can make a story much better.
The way I see it it's kinda like comparing LOTR>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>.... to harry potter halo being harry potter.

Always good to see people bashing a game's story without every playing the game......
[QUOTE="kittykatz5k"]Half life's plot crushes it.blacktorn
I agree,Halo's is pretty generic,but exciting nevertheless.Guy kills aliens,finds alien technology,destroys it,save earth.It's been done too many time in the sci-fi arena.
Strange, because that plot you just described would be Half-Life's plot with only minor revision.
