When were any members of Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Lynard Skynard, ect. ever arrested? I mean the classic guys, the forefathers of rock if you will. You can't say the same about the progenitors of rap.

Radio stations play what they are payed to put on the air. Playola might be illegal, but it is still as big as it once was. People do not decide what the popular music is, radio stations like Clear Channel do. People buy the music that they hear on the radio, which just happens to be the new crappy boyband / 50 cent wannabe of the week.
