In my experience of consoles is that they are extremely unreliable. I'm on my 3rd goddamn PS3 over the course of 5 years! My PC is just cruising along strongly with thousands, or possibly a million, of hours of usage.

Consoles are only good for exclusives, nothing else. PC is a great all-round gaming system and it should be used as a main platform. Of course, people have choices to whatever they like, but that's my opinion.

GamerwillzPS

well a ps3 is not a very good system like that. i dont even like ps3. nobody i know plays a ps3 except for this kid at school that no1 likes and the games on it suck. little big planet isnt that good since its just a ripoff of mario; killzone is a lame ripoff of call of duty, god of war looks emo and gay and motor storm isnt all that great compared to need for speed. i also hate the ps3 controller... >.> i really want an xbox; from what ive played its really awesome and i really hope i get one for christmas

I also own both, PS3 and 360, and I think the PS3 is a much better system. It has better games and controller. I never understood why some people said that 360 controller is better.

All the 360 has is Halo, Gears and Forza, while the PS3 has many new games (IPs) and there's more coming next year. All the 360 is getting in 2013 is a new Gears which is a rehash, therefore you may want to rethink your Christmas list when you've written Xbox 360 on it. Scribble it out.

well here are all the games that xbox has that i want grand theft auto all the call of duty games halo gears of war star wars kinect (i know it got bad reviews but it looks cool to me) nhl nba 2k series fifa madden minecraft crysis cuz of the graphics and many more ive got a whole list of games to get so dont worry :)

There is another option I am prepared to give to you. You can join us. We are the elite in gaming. The master race. We are not made; we are born. I see greatness in you, which is why I'm offering you this chance. Convince your mother that your family needs a new PC. Steer her towards a gaming rig, but be discreet...be convincing. Wow.

I'm not trying to insult you, but your opinion is EXTREME.

Calling PC gamers "nerd" is a stereotype. It's like calling Americans "fat and dumb" which isn't always true.

You are uninformed if you think all PC has is educational games and crappy games. PC is getting exclusives all the time, everyday, and they all are found in Steam. Look it up and you'll see a ton of great games to play. All multiplatform games are on PC and they are way superior compared with console versions.

Viruses? Well, if you're having problems with viruses, your basic computer skills is in level of an elderly person. You should get a good anti-virus software (get a free one), spare of your time to update it and run an occasional scan in every month or 2. If you're unable to perform these simple tasks, stick with consoles.

If your game is slow and freezing on your PC, it's a great indication of something. You know what? Poor hardware performance. Or you can try to lower your graphical settings.

Console gaming is more expensive, and this is a fact. Their games are ridiculously overpriced and the hardware is very unreliable; you'd end up buying a new console every 2 years.

GamerwillzPS

well i cant buy from steam cuz my mom doesnt use credit cards on games so obvs theres no point in that thing whatever it is; and thats such bs you dont have to buy a new console every two years!! ive had my nintendo wii since 2008 and my old xbox since 2005 and they all still work just fine its just that none of my friends play on pc and nobody i know plays pc or likes pc games. only good pc game i played was runescape and i dont play anymore, i used to play like 3/4 years ago and quit. everyone plays xbox and nobody cares about pc "games"

Care to explain why choosing to play on PC is bad?

I have switched to PC from consoles in the Summer and I'm not having any regrets at all. PC gaming is just so much better. Not looking back to consoles at all.

GamerwillzPS

well ill sum it up the best i can but computers are not meant for gaming their meant for facebook youtube msn and stuff like that and also i bought black ops a while ago for pc cuz i dont have an xbox and i wanted to play it and it had terrible graphics and was slow as hell. pc games crash all the time freeze and gets your comptuer filled with viruses its impossible to play games without dealing with all those problems. besides pc misses alot of games and alot of pc games are nerdy and gay theres no halo no gears nothing cool just sh!t like rollercoaster tycoon and educational games. and nobody i know plays on pc lol no one at school no one in my family every1 thinks its too expensive and for losers

Do something to earn your money, learn to spell, and three of the four games you listed are rated Mature, so you shouldn't be playing them at 13 anyway.

ItsEvolution
i have no way to earn money, i can spell actualy and all my friends play m rated games. your point?

You don't capitalize, and you spelled "actually" wrong. It's hard to take people seriously when they type like a four year old. Your mom should buy you some books instead of a 360.

lol. funny how i actually learnt to read playing video games rather than books... and i spelt "actually" actualy cuz its faster than spelling the real word,. i know how to spell it im not stupid i get Bs at school in english. this is the internet im talking to ppl not writing a book lol

[QUOTE="syndrome83"]alright well tyhanks for your help ill try to tell my mom those. you been a big help bud, thanks alot :)Byshop

There's another option, although this one probably is less appealing. They are going to offer a subsidized Xbox 360 4GB with Kinect for $100, but you have to sign up for a 2 year contract for Xbox Live at $14.99 per month. Basically, you are buying an Xbox like you would buy a cell phone. If she's got an issue with monthly fees then this option might be less desirable for her.

The $60 a year option isn't bad, though. That's basically the price of one game and you get 12 months of service. It's actually a little bit cheaper than a game because you don't have to pay sales tax on it if you buy it online from Microsoft.

-Byshop

yeah she has a bit of a problem with online fees. back when i was 10 i wanted her to pay for my runescape membership and she said no to that as well

[QUOTE="syndrome83"]They DO break easily. The problem isn't as bad as it was, but cheap consoles will be cheap consoles. Just look at my username.

At least with the PS3 you can argue that you'll be getting a blu ray player and free online. You might have to choose between ps3, earning your money, or getting nothing.
